‘Sneaky Pete’ (2015 – 2019)

It’s surprising to see an Amazon Prime Video original making its way to Netflix, but Sneaky Pete is poised to reach an even wider audience in its new home than it did on Prime Video. Co-created by Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, who also stars as Vince Lonigan—a menacing gangster seeking revenge on the recently imprisoned Marius Josipović (Giovanni Ribisi).

To evade Vince, Marius adopts the identity of his cellmate, Pete Murphy (Ethan Embry), and pretends to be him to his family. Although Pete’s family has their own troubles, Marius faces the challenge of maintaining his cover while Vince holds his brother, Eddie (Michael Drayer), captive. Marius must somehow secure a substantial sum to save Eddie without revealing his real identity to Pete’s family.

Sneaky Pete will be available to stream on Netflix starting July 10.

‘Mr. Robot’ (2015 – 2019)

In time for its tenth anniversary, Mr. Robot is making its debut on Netflix this summer. Oscar and Emmy-winning actor Rami Malek portrays Elliot Alderson, a brilliant cybersecurity engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night, battling serious mental health challenges.

While it’s early to determine which shows will lead Netflix this summer, it’s clear that mystery and drama are trending well in June. The returning family drama Ginny & Georgia has skyrocketed to No. 1 on Netflix’s popularity list, building a strong viewer base.

Mr. Robot features Christian Slater, who recognizes Elliot’s potential and invites him to join fsociety, an underground collective of hackers with ambitious plans to reshape the world. Elliot’s choice to join fsociety plunges him into a deep introspection about his identity, making this a captivating cyberpunk thriller. All four seasons will be available for streaming in early July.

‘Yellowjackets’ (2021 – Present)

Yellowjackets season 1 is currently available on Netflix, and season 2 is on its way. This critically acclaimed series unfolds across two timelines. In 1996, an all-girls soccer team survives a harrowing plane crash in remote wilderness, with little hope of immediate rescue. Amid the absence of adult supervision, some of the young women start to behave erratically.

In the present day, a few of the surviving members are determined to conceal the dark secrets of their past survival from three decades ago. They might even turn against one another to ensure their silence. If you can’t wait, Paramount+ with Showtime has all three seasons available, but Netflix subscribers might prefer to hold out for the upcoming release.

Yellowjackets season 2 will stream on Netflix on July 1.
