3 Must-Watch Netflix Movies with 90% or Higher on Rotten Tomatoes (December 2025)
In December, many new movies are debuting on Netflix, several of which are on the cusp of achieving a 90 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is a challenging threshold to reach, even for the leading streaming service globally. Thankfully, our role is to sift through the noise and highlight films that have garnered critical praise.
Below, you’ll find the Watch With Us team’s selections for three new Netflix films that boast at least a 90 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
You might recognize at least two of these titles. If there is any overlap among the three, I highly recommend checking them out.
‘Little Women’ (1994)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 92 percent
There have been various adaptations of Louisa May Alcott‘s Little Women, yet the 1994 version directed by Gillian Armstrong stands out as the best. The Australian filmmaker brought together a star-studded cast, featuring Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Susan Sarandon, and Gabriel Byrne.
Ryder portrays Josephine “Jo” March, the pillar of support for her sisters, Amy (Dunst), Beth (Danes), and Meg (Trini AlvaradoChristian Bale plays Theodore “Laurie” Laurence, who believes he is destined for Jo’s heart. However, Jo is not inclined toward romance in that regard, prompting Laurie to reassess his feelings.
Little Women is available for streaming on Netflix.
‘Pulp Fiction’ (1994)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 92 percent
Quentin Tarantino may have directed films that are arguably superior to Pulp Fiction, yet this particular movie had a significant impact on pop culture when it was released. It was only Tarantino’s second feature film, and he playfully broke cinematic conventions while creating it. The storytelling unfolds in a non-linear manner, allowing at least one deceased character to maintain a presence throughout.
John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson leave a lasting impression as hitmen Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield, while Uma Thurman shines as crime lord Mia Wallace. Bruce Willis delivers a compelling performance as Butch Coolidge, a boxer who dares to defy the orders of his boss, Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames). Butch’s true challenge lies in surviving the treachery of Los Angeles.
Pulp Fiction is available for streaming on Netflix.
‘Zero Dark Thirty’ (2013)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 91 percent
After winning Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director with The Hurt Locker, Kathryn Bigelow directed Zero Dark Thirty, a dramatization of the lengthy pursuit of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The film stars Jessica Chastain as Maya, a CIA operative dedicated to locating and neutralizing bin Laden.
While bin Laden remains largely off-screen throughout, his ominous presence looms as attempts are made on Maya’s life and those around her. Maya’s meticulous reports and instincts about bin Laden’s whereabouts prove eerily prophetic. The narrative culminates in a definitive conclusion, even if Maya’s journey does not unfold as one might expect.
Zero Dark Thirty is streaming on Netflix.
