‘Fallout’ Season 2 — Prime Video

The acclaimed Emmy-nominated video game adaptation returns for an exhilarating second season. In a post-apocalyptic wasteland devastated by nuclear conflict, humanity primarily resides in underground shelters. Yet, these bunkers conceal secrets. Among the inhabitants is Lucy (Ella Purnell), who embarks on a precarious journey to find her father.

‘Human Specimens’ Season 1 — Prime Video

This chilling five-part adaptation of a novel by Kanae Minato stars Drive My Car’s Hidetoshi Nishijima. It follows Professor Sakaki (Nishijima), a butterfly researcher, who confesses to using six boys, including his own son, as “human specimens.” The narrative unfolds from various perspectives, revealing the professor’s unsettling conduct and his bond with his child.

Human Specimens appears to be a gripping psychological thriller that promises to captivate. Directed by Hiroki Ryûichi, who also adapted Minato’s work in Motherhood (2022), this series is one to watch.
