Savannah and Chase Chrisley’s Year of Triumphs and Challenges
Like many sibling pairs, Savannah Chrisley and Chase Chrisley have a relationship that isn’t without its flaws.
Since the debut of Chrisley Knows Best in 2014, audiences have followed the lives of Todd and Julie Chrisley’s children as they transitioned into adulthood.
While Savannah and Chase showcased a compelling sibling dynamic, complications arose when Todd and Julie were incarcerated for tax fraud. (Both have since been pardoned and released by former President Donald Trump.)
“I haven’t spoken to Chase in … it’s been so long,” Savannah disclosed during a September 2025 interview with Nightline. “I felt an immense amount of pressure. Being in that environment with so many people around me, I had never felt more isolated.”
The evolving dynamic between the pair was further examined in the Lifetime docuseries titled The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.
“Savannah just wants to be adored, and I’m not up for that. I have no clue what her issue is with me,” Chase noted in an episode. “Savannah tries to portray me as the villain not supportive of the family, but that’s simply untrue.”

Though Todd was the central figure on Chrisley Knows Best, viewers quickly became fond of Savannah and Chase as they navigated their father’s amusing arguments, quirky rules, and overall uniqueness.
In 2019, Savannah and Chase embarked on a new venture with their spinoff series titled Growing Up Chrisley. The cameras documented their significant move to Los Angeles, aiming to prove their independence to Todd. The show ran for four successful seasons.

In November 2015, Savannah shared her baptism experience, facilitated by her younger brother Chase.
“I made the best decision of my life exactly four years ago today,” Savannah posted on Instagram in November 2019, along with photos from the occasion. “Thank you for guiding me and for understanding what I need better than I do. I appreciate all the instances you have forgiven me when I strayed from your path. Thank you for always being the one I can rely on and trust.”
Chase Chrisley’s Reflections on His Drinking
After his parents’ incarceration, Chase admitted to drinking heavily. “I just lost control and kept drinking,” he explained on the September 1 episode of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. “[I] had no boundaries, and no one was there to tell me to stop.”
Savannah later mentioned the lengths she went to support him before he began to spiral.
“I have done everything to assist him,” she recounted in a confessional. “I arranged for him to enter a treatment center, even purchasing a plane ticket. We completed the intake process, but then he told me to go to hell.”

During the September 9 episode of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, Chase revealed that he was left out of the effort to bring their parents home after serving 28 months in prison for bank fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion.
“Chase has been absent through this entire ordeal,” Savannah stated on the show. “No one had the emotional strength or desire to manage Chase and his tumultuous feelings. If you’re not financially supporting this process, you lose the right to complain.”
Chase later confessed to his grandmother, Nanny Faye, that he felt “angry” about how the arrangements were managed.
Savannah and Chase’s Relationship is Not Beyond Repair
While Chase and Savannah may not have been particularly close during the filming of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, both have expressed affection and respect for each other.
“I’m extremely proud of you @savannahchrisley for the hard work you put in and the voice you’ve become for families like ours!” Chase wrote on Instagram in November 2024. “You inspire me. Your determination and tenacity are unmatched, and I’m proud to call you my sister! I love you.”
In a therapy session captured for The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, Savannah remarked that Chase “hasn’t done anything irreparable.”
She added, “I desire a relationship with him. I want him to succeed.”
A Transformation in Their Relationship
The Chrisleys: Back to Reality series finale in September 2025 featured Chase’s heartfelt apology to Savannah after he sought help for his alcohol issues.
“I understand you’re upset with everyone, but I need you to know I was battling my own issues, so I apologize for my role in this,” he expressed. “I definitely could have been more present for you, and I just wanted to say I’m sorry.”
The two aspired for this to mark “the start of a new chapter” in their relationship.
