Selma Blair’s ESK Partnership Revitalizes Her Glow and Boosts Confidence
Selma Blair is widely recognized for her roles in beloved films such as Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde, but she has recently added another remarkable project to her portfolio.
The actress has collaborated with the doctor-developed Australian cosmeceutical skincare brand ESK to unveil their newest product, Ultimate A Gold. This night cream boasts clinically-proven ingredients like skin-boosting niacinamide and retinal, promoting collagen production without irritation. However, this partnership transcends the usual celebrity beauty endorsement.
Blair, who publicly shared her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018, embarked on a sensitive skincare journey in 2011. “I went through a rough phase after my son [Arthur, 14] was born; my skin was in dire condition, with not just reactive issues,” she tells Us exclusively. “I experienced rashes, burning, and boils, and no doctors seemed to have clear solutions for me.”
Her path to relief started when an aesthetician recommended a cleanser from ESK. “Within a few days, I noticed relief from burning, pulling, tightness, rosacea, and throbbing — my skin adjusted beautifully,” she explains. Eventually, she connected with the company’s founder Dr. Ginni Mansberg, marking the beginning of a significant skincare partnership. “ESK truly changed my skincare experience,” Blair states. “Meeting Dr. Ginni was enlightening; her expertise was incredibly inspiring and reassuring.”
One standout for Blair is Repair+, a morning moisturizer that calmed her skin while reducing the visibility of pores and hyperpigmentation. The impact of the brand resonated even further.
“It arrived at the perfect moment,” she reflects, describing the collaboration as “too good to be true.” For Blair, it represented a chance to engage with a team that “essentially restored my confidence.”
While the brand is celebrated for its anti-aging properties, both ESK’s offerings and Blair emphasize more than just the prevention of fine lines and wrinkles. The activist focuses on barrier restoration, hydration, and cellular renewal. “Aging never bothered me much; I often didn’t feel well throughout my life,” the actress admits. “But once I realized how fortunate I was to age, especially in a healthier manner, it was time to address my skin and boost my confidence.”
So, why should ESK’s premium products — particularly the new Ultimate A Gold — find a place in your beauty collection? “We have created something that I believe is pure gold,” shares Mansberg. “[It] enables people to conserve time and money while offering barrier repair and anti-aging advantages — all in one product. It turns out that what Selma desired for her skin is what everyone else is looking for too.”
