Amal Clooney Cuts ‘8 Inches’ Off Her Hair and Unveils a Chic ‘Bubble Blowout’

Amal Clooney has unveiled a stunning new haircut just as fall approaches.

The 47-year-old Clooney bid farewell to her long waist-length locks and showcased her chic new style during an event on Monday, October 6. Her brunette hair, adorned with caramel highlights, was elegantly parted to the side and cut to chest length.

Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos shared the transformation on Instagram, writing, “AMAL CLOONEY ❤️,” and added, “‘The bubble blowout’ and a fresh chop for Amal Clooney!”

Amal styled her new cut with a black top that featured a V-neck, short sleeves, and a button-up design, complemented by a peplum waist. The lawyer, who is married to George Clooney, paired this ensemble with dark bottoms.

For her makeup, Amal radiated with a luminous foundation, rosy cheeks, highlighter accentuated on her nose, and lined pink lips. Her eye makeup was equally captivating, featuring brown shadow blended into the crease, finished with long lashes and perfectly groomed brows.

Giannetos, who is also recognized for Demi Moore’s wispy bangs, discussed Amal’s dramatic haircut with Vogue on Monday, revealing, “I cut off between six and eight inches of hair,” and added, “This is a haircut Amal has never had before.”

Giannetos described the style as a “power cut” and advised that those wanting a similar look should ask for a cut that reaches the décolletage with blunt ends and elongated face-framing pieces. “It’s sophisticated and modern,” he remarked.

Previously, Giannetos collaborated with Amal ahead of the 2025 Albies Awards, during which she opted for a darker shade that still highlighted her features. He brought her hair to a “toasted almond” hue, enhancing the lighter money pieces to maintain her soft and sweet look, according to Vogue.

Giannetos made waves again with Moore, 62, as she debuted her new bangs on Monday. The actress revealed a fringe cut that brushed just past her eyebrows, parted elegantly over her forehead, while the rest of her hair cascaded down to her waist in loose waves.

Moore had sported bangs in the ‘90s during the filming of Striptease, where her fringe was styled to her brows and elegantly swept across her forehead, with the remainder of her hair long and sleek.

In the film, she also showcased her hair in updo styles, paired with alluring lingerie. In one memorable scene, she wore a push-up balconette bra adorned with lace detailing and delicate bows on the straps, matched with coordinating bottoms and sparkling diamond accessories, alongside black gloves.
