Seth Rogen Quips That More People Saw “Nobody Wants This” Than the Studio Did
Seth Rogen is busy with The Studio and Nobody Wants This, but he believes that TV audiences are more tuned into one than the other.
In a joint interview with his wife Lauren Miller during their Hilarity for Charity Friendsgiving event, Rogen shared with Us Weekly his thoughts on the significant reaction to the hit Apple TV series.
“We’re always relieved when something succeeds because we’ve both seen each other through tough times when things don’t go as planned,” he said. “So, when something works out even a little bit, it’s a win worth celebrating.”
At 43, Rogen expressed his appreciation for the support The Studio has garnered, adding, “It’s wonderful! Truthfully, we’ve entered a new level of cultural relevance. But honestly, I think way more people have seen me in Nobody Wants This!”
After Nobody Wants This was confirmed for a season 3, Rogen expressed openness to returning.
“Yeah, absolutely [I’d return],” he said. “If they want me!”
Rogen currently stars as Matt in The Studio, a series about a Hollywood studio head grappling with corporate demands while pursuing his passion for quality filmmaking. In addition to his on-screen work, Rogen co-created, wrote, and directed the show alongside Evan Goldberg, for which they have received four Emmy Awards for their achievements in acting, producing, directing, and writing.
The actor also found time to guest star in Nobody Wants This. Season 2, which premiered in October, featured Rogen as Rabbi Neil, who unexpectedly offers Noah (Adam Brody) a new job.
Beyond his work in entertainment, Rogen and Miller, 44, remain dedicated to raising awareness for families affected by Alzheimer’s through Hilarity for Charity.
“We advocate for five brain health practices; it involves getting adequate sleep, exercising, maintaining a nutritious diet, staying mentally active, learning new things, and having hobbies,” Miller shared with Us. “Emotional wellbeing also matters, so including things like meditation and therapy can significantly enhance your brain health, but even just focusing on one can make a difference.”
Miller mentioned that there are courses available for anyone interested in proactive tips to improve their health.
“I find a lot of hope in our brain health journey and have faith in scientific advancements,” she stated. “Knowledge has empowered us to face whatever challenges come our way with more optimism than I had before.”
In his conversation with Us, Rogen reflected on how their personal experiences with loved ones battling Alzheimer’s have strengthened their bond.
“It has in many ways. Early in our relationship, we had to confront something quite serious,” he shared. “While I’m not glad it happened, it demonstrated our ability to endure challenges together and find joy with one another even during tough times.”
