Sara Foster Shrugs Off Spanx Slip at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards
Sara Foster narrowly escaped a wardrobe malfunction at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
Foster, 44, who is the co-creator of Nobody Wants This, shared her near fashion mishap with E! while walking the red carpet at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday, January 4. A photographer alerted her that her Spanx were visible through the thigh-high slit of her Monique Lhuillier dress.
“Gotta love him!” she laughed when speaking to E!’s red carpet host Keltie Knight. Her stunning white dress featured a mock neck, long sleeves, and a fitted bodice that flowed into a cinched waist adorned with gold hardware, culminating in a long, flowing skirt that accentuated her leg. She completed her glamorous look with gold strappy heels, delicate rings, and sparkling diamond earrings.
For her makeup, she opted for a full glam look, showcasing bronzed skin, contoured cheeks, defined eyebrows, smoky eyes, long lashes, and glossy pink lips. Her blonde highlighted hair was styled in a half-updo, with curled ends adding a touch of elegance.
While speaking to E!, Foster mentioned that she almost wore the same dress to the 2025 Golden Globe Awards last January, saying, “I wanted to bring that back.” She also shared that her team suggested fans could acquire the dress online, to which she replied, “I don’t care.”
While posing for photos, Sara also captured moments with her sister and fellow co-creator of Nobody Wants This, Erin Foster, who looked stylish in a brown outfit featuring a black beaded halter top and a body-con silk skirt.
Erin, 43, added sparkle to her ensemble with diamond angular earrings, complemented by silver sparkly eyeshadow. Her makeup included glowing skin, contoured cheeks, long lashes, filled-in eyebrows, and pink lips. Her blonde hair was elegantly styled in an updo, with curled front pieces. The sisters embraced as they posed for a photo.
This year, Nobody Wants This was nominated for Best Comedy Series, with Adam Brody up for Best Actor in a Comedy Series and Kristen Bell nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
Sara isn’t the only star concerned about wardrobe malfunctions. Sheryl Lee Ralph discussed her strategies for comfort while wearing heels on the red carpet.
“When you’re walking down the red carpet, it’s not the moment for little hiccups, and sometimes shoes just don’t fit right,” the star of Abbott Elementary shared with E!. “First of all, I rely on lidocaine for any shoe that might be uncomfortable. Then, I spray the shoe with adhesive to keep my foot secure, ensuring no flipping or flopping.”
