Ghosts, Stars Discuss Potential Thor and Flower Split Following Altercation
Sheila Carrasco and Devan Chandler Long candidly discussed whether fans of Ghosts should be concerned about a possible split between Thor and Flower, along with other surprising developments in the series.
In the Thursday, March 5, episode of the popular CBS show, Thor (Long) and Flower (Carrasco) engaged in a minor disagreement over a chair in their shared space, adding a playful twist to the storyline for the ensemble cast.
“As actors, we thrive on episodes filled with tension. Devin and I have actually been hoping for a while for Flower and Thor to experience some of that conflict because it’s just so entertaining,” Carrasco, 36, shared exclusively with Us Weekly.
Enjoying the dynamic, Carrasco added, “They’re still living together, so they’re not going anywhere. If anything, this gives them more opportunities to reconcile. I view this as the end of their honeymoon phase. This is just one battle — the struggle of what’s next for them continues.”
Long, 42, recounted how he and Carrasco would often “stage fake arguments” to inspire storylines.
“Sheila and I would do this in front of the writers. They have a little lounge on set, and we would go there to bicker,” he shared. “It was usually about trivial things like donuts or cereal. This has been going on for about two years now. I think they realized we’re engaging when we argue.”
Ghosts, which debuted in 2021, is inspired by the original British series of the same name. After moving from the city to their newly inherited Woodstone Manor, Sam (Rose McIver) encounters an accident that enables her to see the spirits of people from various periods in American history who perished on the property and are now bound to it.
Thor and Flower’s connection has been hinted at since the pilot, but it took time for them to officially become a couple. Now that their relationship is established, Carrasco and Long are eager to explore what lies ahead for them — even if it means a potential breakup.
“You truly understand who people are when they’re in a relationship. So exploring more about who Flower and Thor are through their conflicts… I don’t think a breakup is necessary for their journey,” Carrasco told Us. “It’s all about what their character development looks like throughout the series and how they deal with it together — regardless of whether they are together or not.”
Long also shared his thoughts on the potential outcomes.
“If some fans want them to break up, that’s an interesting take as well,” he joked. “I’m not aware of that. But hey, with this show, anything is possible.”
Ghosts airs on CBS Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET and is available for streaming the following day on Paramount+.
