Mormon Wives’ Jessi Expresses Discontent with Her Plastic Surgery Outcome
Jessi Ngatikaura became emotional while sharing her experiences with plastic surgery results.
Ngatikaura, 33, recently took to TikTok on Thursday, March 5, to openly discuss her appearance after undergoing upper and lower blepharoplasty along with fat injections in her face. During press for season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, she revealed receiving harsh comments regarding her looks.
“I want to express that I’m extremely unhappy with my outcomes and didn’t fully grasp what I was getting into,” she admitted. “I initially went in for a lower blepharoplasty, then inquiring about an upper blepharoplasty led me to get that as well. I didn’t really want the [fat] grafting; I just went along with a suggestion without fully understanding what it entailed, what the results would be, or what the recovery process would look like.”
Ngatikaura, who earlier disclosed she spent $25,000 on her procedures, expressed regret over the facial grafting, which was described as a substitute for face fillers and intended to help “stimulate collagen” in the areas where she experienced weight loss.
“In hindsight, I wish I had received more details,” she mentioned. Ngatikaura also revealed that the grafting was “inserted into [her] lips,” which she neither requested nor desired.
“It has made my lips appear really lumpy,” she explained. “One of them dips. I’m receiving many comments about my lip fillers, and I agree, it looks terrible. My face looks awful.”
Ngatikaura noted that she appeared “more swollen” in the video due to receiving Kybella in an attempt to eliminate “some of the fat,” but clarified that “grafting is extremely difficult to remove from the face.”
@_justjessiiii I’m not sure what’s happening with my nose in this filter… but please be kind 🫶🏼
“I feel really insecure,” she said through tears. “I recognize that I look drastically different and I dislike it. Looking back at how I used to appear [and] watching season 4, I’m like, ‘Wow, I looked really good.’ I wish I could have appreciated that. It makes me emotional to talk about it.”
Ngatikaura reflected that she went “too far” trying to address her “insecurities” and vowed to “never alter” her face again — “aside from Botox.”
“I wish I had recognized my inner beauty,” Ngatikaura remarked. She also urged her followers to conduct thorough research before undergoing such procedures. “This last surgery has devastated my life. I feel absolutely hideous in season 5. It has ruined my career.”
“Not sure what’s happening with my nose with this [beauty] filter… but be kind 🫶🏼,” Ngatikaura captioned her post. Her fans filled the comments with supportive messages.
“Jessi, please be kinder to yourself; you look incredible 🙁 I’m sorry others have made you feel otherwise,” one fan wrote.
Her Mormon Wives costar Miranda McWhorter added, “Jessss🥺 I’m so proud of you for being so open and authentic despite how you feel about the results. You are beautiful now and always. I love you 💕.”
