Hailee Steinfeld Welcomes First Child with Josh Allen
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are now a family of three following the arrival of their first child.
“We’re incredibly grateful and blessed, cherishing these early moments,” Steinfeld, 29, shared in her newsletter on Thursday, April 2, announcing the birth of their daughter. “Thank you for all the love and well wishes.”
The couple, both 29, revealed they were expecting their first child in December 2025.
“As I embark on my 29th year as a softer, stronger version of myself, I want to reflect on some of my favorite moments this year, both significant and minor,” she wrote in her Beau Society newsletter before listing 29 things she appreciated as she celebrated her 29th birthday. “29. This video …”
In the accompanying video, Steinfeld showcased her baby bump while donning a sweatshirt emblazoned with the word “mother.”
Steinfeld and Allen also announced their pregnancy on Instagram, posting a joint video where he kissed her bare belly and they shared a moment gazing at a small snowman.
A few days later, Allen expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of well-wishes following their public reveal.
“I’ve known for a while now, so it’s not too surprising to me,” he told reporters in December 2025 about the joyful news. “But the support from teammates and friends has been incredibly special for both my wife and me.”
Later that month, he told the Associated Press he was “absolutely overjoyed” about the impending arrival.
In January, Steinfeld made her first public appearance since their announcement, walking the red carpet solo at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. She radiated in a peach silk chiffon Prada dress adorned with silver sequined embroidery while cradling her baby bump.
In an Instagram post showcasing her awards outfit, Steinfeld referred to the Golden Globes as “a night out with my newest plus one,” sweetly acknowledging her upcoming arrival.
Although Allen couldn’t attend because of his Buffalo Bills playoff schedule, he proudly supported Steinfeld on social media, sharing a photo of her on the red carpet with heart-eyed and drooling emojis on his Instagram Story.
Steinfeld and Allen have been romantically linked since May 2023. After their engagement in November 2024, Us Weekly revealed that the couple was already planning for a family ahead of their wedding in May 2025.
“They are both looking forward to starting a family and want that in the coming years,” a source told Us in March 2025. “Their parenting values align perfectly.”
Later that year, Steinfeld hinted at her pregnancy a month before making the news public, confirming in a November 2025 interview with Bustle that she “absolutely” wanted to have children with Allen.
