What the Cast of “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen” Looks Like
Netflix’s Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen has made significant efforts to alter the appearance of its cast compared to their real-life selves.
Prior to its debut in March, Netflix marketed the series as a miniseries focused on an engaged couple whose wedding plans go awry.
“Rachel and Nicky are scheduled to marry in a week,” the synopsis revealed. “However, before they can exchange vows, an unexpected event intervenes.”
Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen features Camila Morrone, Adam DiMarco, Gus Birney, Karla Crome, and Sawyer Fraser, with Jeff Wilbusch, Ted Levine, and Jennifer Jason Leigh rounding out the ensemble alongside Victoria Pedretti, Josh Hamilton, and Logan Miller.
In the storyline, it takes Rachel (Morrone) half a season to uncover that her family is under a curse. She is destined to marry her soulmate by sundown on her wedding day, or she faces dire consequences if Nicky (DiMarco) isn’t her true match. If he is, she survives—opt out of the wedding, and the curse will pass to Nicky and his family, resulting in her demise.
