Explanation of Taylor Frankie Paul’s Brief Mother’s Day Visit

Fresh insights into Taylor Frankie Paul’s recent Mother’s Day festivities have emerged.

During a virtual court session on Monday, June 1, Paul’s lawyer outlined to a judge why his client’s supervised visit with her 2-year-old son Ever was abbreviated on that day.

“My client cherishes every moment with Ever. Some visits over the past month have been either shortened or canceled for various reasons,” the attorney explained. “For instance, a recent visit had to be stopped due to the child being quite ill … suffering from a cold sore outbreak.”

The lawyer added, “The Mother’s Day visit was cut short due to limited supervisor availability. There are ongoing challenges coordinating schedules with available supervisors.”

According to documents acquired by Us Weekly, a judge in Utah granted Paul, 31, “parent time” on May 10 amidst her ongoing custody battle and the mutual protective orders with ex Dakota Mortensen.

Instead of her standard eight-hour visitation, the court permitted Paul to see Ever from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

While specific details of Paul’s Mother’s Day celebration remain confidential, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star posted a heartfelt Instagram update on that day.

“Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there💕 I’m naturally feeling overwhelmed… with people calling me out and no way to respond?” she shared at that time. “This is exactly what I refuse to tolerate ever again. Thank you, GOD, for sending people to aid me through this despite having my enemies so near.”

During the court session on Monday, a judge suggested that Paul’s supervised visits be lifted. The court also determined that Paul can alternate weekends with her son and have one midweek day each week. Overnight visits with her son are still prohibited.

“We aim for consistency, so we have a stable schedule,” the judge clarified.

Mortensen will continue to be the “custodial parent” during holidays, with another custody hearing set for July 8.

“I feel optimistic and believe we’re moving in a positive direction,” remarked the judge, urging both parties to refrain from making negative comments about each other online, continue their individual therapy, and maintain a distance of at least 100 feet from one another.
