Trinity from Love Island USA Responds to Rumors About Leaving the Reunion
Love Island USA‘s Trinity Tatum clarified the rumors regarding her alleged removal from the season 8 reunion.
After the taping on Monday, August 10, speculation ignited online that Trinity, 22, was escorted off the set. One post even claimed that Trinity “had to be escorted out.”
Once the chatter reached her, Trinity swiftly dispelled the rumors. “This is not true idk where this info came from lmao,” she responded to a fan account on TikTok.
An X user mentioned that Trinity also addressed the claims again in a private Instagram group chat.
“I hate I even have to say this but don’t believe everything on the net lol I did not get escorted out,” she reportedly stated. “Also, we never had an altercation but goodnight my loves.”
Before the reunion airs later this month, fans of Love Island USA speculate that Trinity and Sol Dean will address their off-screen issues.
Trinity previously hinted at lingering tension between them when she referenced one of Sol’s comments from Love Island: Aftersun during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in July. (She remarked, “[Bryce Dettloff] probably thinks Kayda is prettier than Trinity.”)
Trinity—who won the season with Bryce—mentioned on the late-night show: “I think she said a lot of unprovoked things after she left, and I didn’t have an issue with her. I never once had a problem with her because she didn’t come for me. So, for her to make comments about me and my couple, my relationship, it was a little off-putting.”
The Love Island franchise initially began in the U.K. in 2002 and has since expanded globally with various spinoffs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. The series follows a new group of singles each season who must pair off to remain in the show’s luxury villa for a chance to win $100,000.
The contestants—known as Islanders—live in seclusion in a villa and are under constant video surveillance as they seek love.
Host Ariana Madix recently shared her thoughts on what fans can expect from the reunion, particularly regarding the Islanders’ silence on social media after departing Fiji.
“I feel personally that it’s helpful for me,” Ariana, 41, told Us, acknowledging that it’s “hard” to “keep up with” every development for each Islander once they leave the villa.
“It is hard for me to keep up when everything is out there,” she added. “I want to be able to keep up because, of course, I want to be able to ask the best questions.”
Ariana continued: “I want to be able to follow up on certain things. So for me, it is helpful that I’ll be able to see them and catch up with them in real time. I think it’s going to be so great because I’m really, really looking forward to asking them what’s been going on the last few weeks and having them give us all the updates.”
The Love Island USA reunion premieres on Peacock on Monday, August 31.
