Travis Kelce Opens Up About Getting a Dog with Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce has officially announced that he and his wife Taylor Swift are now delighted dog parents!
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, aged 36, features in a new Tommy Hilfiger fashion campaign, which was first revealed by Vogue on Tuesday, September 1. He stars alongside an adorable co-star: their fluffy white Samoyed.
The Vogue article mentioned that the “Hilfiger creative team was discussing casting a dog for the campaign when Kelce volunteered the one he shares with Taylor Swift.”
“We thought, why not her? She nailed it and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic as well,” Kelce expressed to the magazine about his dog’s debut in the photo shoot. “Those shots are some of my favorites.”
The host of the “New Heights” podcast did not disclose the name of their pet but expressed his joy over the new addition, saying, “She brightens up my day.” (Forbes reported on Tuesday that the dog’s name is Wendy.)
Fans began speculating if the Grammy winner, also 36, and Kelce had secretly become dog parents after they were spotted arriving at the President Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida, on July 12 with their furry friend.
Swift and Kelce exchanged vows in a glamorous wedding ceremony held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3 after three years of dating.
In addition to their dog, Swift is also a proud cat mom to three felines: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.
During her August 2025 appearance on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, Swift discussed how she introduced her cats to the expanded Swift-Kelce family, particularly with brother-in-law Jason Kelce’s four daughters.
The “Fate of Ophelia” singer revealed that Jason, 38, had told his daughters—Wyatt, 6, Ellliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 17 months—that cats were dangerous, which she was eager to clarify.
“It was actually a wonderful challenge because once I had the kids around the cats, I aimed to show them that they weren’t harmful,” she shared. “And the best way to prove that is to just hand them Benjamin, my ragdoll cat, who lets humans hold him like a baby.”
“My absolute favorite moment is when Bennie comes up to me and says, ‘I found Benjamin, I found him.’ And she’s there, cuddling and petting him,” Swift recalled at the time.
“The cats are so gentle with children,” she added. “They’re just like, ‘Meredith is here!’ I’m like, ‘And you know what? She didn’t bite you at all, did she? And if she did, she wouldn’t be harmful.’ They respond with, ‘That’s not what our dad said.’”
