Joey Graziadei Discusses Kelsey Anderson’s Potential on DWTS
The Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei enjoyed a remarkable run on Dancing With the Stars — but might his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson, be a worthy contender if given the chance?
“If Dancing With the Stars wants Kelsey on that show, I guarantee they’ll be in for some fantastic entertainment,” Graziadei, 31, playfully remarked to Us while on set for ABC’s RJ Decker, where he is set to make a special appearance in the season 2 premiere.
He jokingly expressed uncertainty about “how great the dancing will be,” but assured, “I know the quality that will be captured on camera will be incredible. I would just love for her to experience it because it was amazing for me. I truly believe she would excel.”
The reality star, engaged to Anderson, 28, since 2023, competed alongside Jenna Johnson in season 33 and emerged victorious. Graziadei’s experience has fueled his desire for others in Bachelor Nation to have similar opportunities.
“I’m going to throw out a bit of a deep cut for my nomination because he’s got some serious moves. My guy Andrew Spencer would be amazing on the show,” Graziadei shared with Us. “I’ve watched him dance a few times, and he’s got more skill than I do. I think he would thrive, and I would love to see it.”
As for Graziadei, he made it clear he is always ready to return in any capacity.
“If the show comes calling again, I’m there. I’d love to participate whenever I can. It’s done so much for me, and I relish the chance to see others enjoy what I experienced,” he gushed. “Whenever I can contribute to that show and enhance the experience for others, I’m all in because it’s truly the best.”
Graziadei is also broadening his career horizons — including making his scripted acting debut in the season 2 premiere of RJ Decker.
“This will be the first time viewers see me in a different role. I did a little part in 9-1-1 for ABC during my season, but I played myself,” he explained. “This time, I’m portraying a pickpocketer. I get to swipe items and deliver a line or two. I hope people enjoy seeing me in this new light because it’s been a lot of fun.”
Graziadei even got to share the screen with RJ Decker lead Scott Speedman.
“Scott was fantastic. It was wonderful to work alongside a successful actor like that and just bounce off each other,” he continued. “In this small role, my job is to elevate what they bring to the table. I’ve done something similar on The Bachelor, just reflecting the energy and helping everyone shine.”
Graziadei concluded: “ABC, if you want to cast me in Grey’s Anatomy, I’m ready. But I’m open to anything. Transitioning to scripted content has been new, and I’m really enjoying it. Trying to be a character and remember lines is a fun challenge. While there are parallels with reality shows, it’s also vastly different.”
Dancing With the Stars kicks off with a two-night event on ABC and Disney+ starting Tuesday, September 15, at 8 p.m. ET. RJ Decker returns Tuesday, September 15, at 10 p.m. ET.
