Emily Osment Initiates Divorce Proceedings Against Husband Jack Anthony

Emily Osment and her spouse, Jack Anthony, have decided to part ways after almost five months of marriage.

Osment, 32, submitted her divorce papers for Anthony, 42, on March 7 at the Los Angeles Superior Court, as per court documents acquired by TODAY.com. She noted their official separation date as December 7, 2024, and attributed their separation to “irreconcilable differences.”

“When making significant life choices, whether in relationships, work, or anything else, you must be fully committed to that decision. Ultimately, it just didn’t work out,” the “Hannah Montana” star shared with TODAY.com in a statement.

Osment and Anthony got engaged in June 2023. As reported by E! News, she publicly announced her engagement with a photo showcasing a stunning diamond ring on Instagram, though the post has since been removed.

“This incredible, beautiful, vibrant person asked me to marry him this weekend. I had no idea life could be this blissful or that I could be so ridiculously happy,” she reportedly wrote in the now-deleted photo caption. “I take immense pride in the life we’ve created together and the individuals we have evolved into over the past few years. This love is so expansive and uniquely ours, and I truly believe it can conquer anything. I am deeply honored to be by your side every single day. I love you, Jack.”

The couple later exchanged vows on October 12, 2024, and Osment shared with Drew Barrymore that her wedding felt like a true “celebration.”

“It was a wedding, but we brought together all the elements we cherished about each other and our friends and family. It truly felt like a party, and that was the best part,” she expressed on “The Drew Barrymore Show” at the time.

Osment also recounted how she met Anthony, describing how she first noticed him dancing “like a lunatic” in the front row of a concert.

“I just pointed and thought, who’s that? Then I went over and introduced myself,” she recalled.
