Tamra Judge Talks About Her Future on RHOC After Announcing Her Departure
Tamra Judge is discussing her future on The Real Housewives of Orange County after indicating she might leave the show.
During the March 12 episode of her and Teddi Mellencamp’s “iHeartRadio’s Two Ts In A Pod” podcast, Judge, 57, shared details in a conversation with Dolores Catania about her previous comments regarding her potential exit from RHOC while filming season 19.
“I think I just hit a wall. There’s so much happening in my life, and I just don’t know,” Judge confessed, noting that she has been attending therapy as she deals with some “personal issues.”
She added: “I really just hit a wall, and it feels like I’m slipping into a full depression.”
Judge conveyed that her year has started on a rough note and she struggles to overcome the low mood she’s been experiencing, despite seeking professional help.
“I’m so angry with myself because I feel stuck in this funk. Typically, I can rise above it, but I’ve been saying this for a while,” she expressed. “I just can’t seem to escape this. It’s just 2025 has thrown me one curveball after another.”
Judge shared that she entered filming for this season of RHOC while navigating her personal issues, but it all became overwhelming for her.
“I approached the season filled with anxiety and managing some personal issues through therapy; it truly can break you down to your lowest state,” she admitted. “I catch myself thinking, ‘Should I just quit? Because this feels like it’s breaking me down.’”
Judge acknowledged that Mellencamp’s health struggles have significantly impacted her as well, but her podcast partner has been a constant support during these challenging times.
“Teddi gave me a pep talk, and that was the first time I’ve laughed in ages. We had a good laugh, and she just shouted at me, ‘Listen to me, I have to be bald and gain weight right now, and I’m going through this. You need to get your act together,’” she recounted. “I started laughing, so I think I’ll be visiting her today. I hope to spark a little motivation back into my life.”
Catania then addressed the rumors about Judge quitting RHOC, suggesting, “The word on the street is you just need a little break.”
Judge agreed, saying, “Absolutely. When I feel like this, my body completely shuts down. I can just sit in one place and stare at the wall for hours. It’s incredibly tough to film in that state.”

This week, Judge stirred up buzz among fans by alluding to her departure from the Bravo reality series.
“It was a long run! When life presents real problems, this reality s— makes no sense,” she stated in her Instagram Story on March 9. “Peace out … I’m out.”
On March 10, Judge shared a selfie on Instagram with the caption, “Mental health is health.”
After her enigmatic posts, she responded to comments from a fan account speculating about her potential exit.
“#TamraJudge just posted this?? The cast is in New Orleans on their cast trip. 🎥🍊 Is Tamra quitting??” the account wrote, referencing a screenshot of Judge’s Instagram Story. Judge seemingly confirmed the rumors by commenting, “Yes!!!”
The fan account then responded, asking, “Tamra, what’s going on??” while other fans encouraged her to stay on the show.
Although Bravo has not confirmed the season 19 cast lineup, Gretchen Rossi is set to return as a “friend,” and Judge was recently seen filming in New Orleans alongside Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Katie Ginella, Gina Kirschenheiter, Jennifer Pedranti, and Emily Simpson.
Throughout the turmoil, Andy Cohen has refrained from commenting on Judge’s future on RHOC.
“I received the report of what transpired last night,” Cohen, 56, mentioned during a Monday episode of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy. “All I can say is this. I can’t comment on events while we’re filming.”
Judge has been a cast member of RHOC since season 3 in 2007. She briefly departed after season 14 in 2019 but returned as a full-time Housewife in season 17, which premiered in 2023.
The RHOC situation coincides with Judge supporting her friend and podcast co-host Mellencamp, 43, following her recent surgery to remove multiple brain tumors. During the February 19 episode of their podcast, Judge said it was “not my place” to share updates about Mellencamp’s health and became emotional while stating, “All I can do is pray for her and love her, as all her friends are doing.”
