Sean Lowe Shares Detailed Account of Injuries Sustained from Family Dog Attack
Sean Lowe displayed the injuries he sustained after being attacked not once, but twice within 12 hours by his family’s dog, Moose.
On Monday, March 17, Lowe, 41, shared his ordeal on Instagram alongside his wife, Catherine Giudici, recounting the nearly disastrous encounters that took place at their residence.
The former Bachelor lifted his left arm to the camera, revealing fresh stitches spanning his wrist, which he referred to as “the worst of the bunch.”
“It was cut so deep,” Lowe recounted. “I could see blood squirting out a couple of feet. My initial thought was, ‘I think that dog might have hit an artery.’”
He described the brutal attack as leaving “a literal pool of blood on our floor like nothing I’ve ever seen.”
Moose, a rescue boxer, had been part of their family for less than three months before these incidents occurred.
A group of friends quickly rushed Lowe to the emergency room, where he was treated and stitched in “five or six different places.”
Giudici, who tied the knot with Lowe in 2014 after their romance blossomed on season 17 of The Bachelor, was not present during the first attack. The couple shares three children: sons Sam, 8, and Isaiah, 6, along with daughter Mia, 5.
Less than 12 hours later, Moose attacked Lowe again outside their home as Lowe’s parents arrived to pick up the children.
“I heard a ‘No, no, no, no,’” Lowe recalled. “It was Catherine from inside the house. I turned to look at the front door since I was in the front yard and saw Moose bolting out.”
During the second attack, Lowe mentioned that he felt even more vulnerable due to the injuries from the previous night.
“My arm was practically useless because it was all stitched up,” he added. “I was struggling to move it.”
Lowe made yet another trip to the emergency room, where he received additional stitches on his right arm, which he also showcased in the Instagram video.
The reality star stressed that the attacks were not Moose’s “fault” and committed to finding a different living arrangement for the dog.
In the end, Lowe expressed his relief that his wife and children were unharmed in either incident.
“I’ll have scarred arms for the rest of my life,” he concluded. “But I can accept that.”
