Athena Grant and Bobby Nash enthralled viewers on 9-1-1 as they portrayed a courageous police officer and firefighter, respectively, but it was their second chance romance that truly resonated with fans.

The show premiered in 2018, introducing audiences to LAPD officer Athena (Angela Bassett) and fire captain Bobby (Peter Krause), whose paths crossed repeatedly as first responders. It wasn’t until halfway through season 1 that their relationship turned romantic, and they never looked back.

Athena and Bobby not only protected their teams and the residents of Los Angeles but were also there to rescue each other from peril. However, tragedy hit during season 8 when Bobby was infected with a lethal virus, endangering firefighter Chimney (Kenneth Choi).

Their 1st Date

Going Public
