Larsa Pippen Shares Insights on Dating Jeff Coby and Her Attraction to Athletes

Larsa Pippen couldn’t contain her excitement about her new relationship with Jeff Coby.

“I think we engage in very ordinary activities. This is the first relationship where going out isn’t a requirement,” the Real Housewives of Miami star, 50, told Us Weekly exclusively on Monday, May 20, while discussing her partnership with Date.com. “We don’t need to do extravagant things. We enjoy the simple moments and bring each other joy. It’s been a lot of fun.”

Pippen and Coby, 31, were first connected in March. They subtly confirmed their relationship in April when they were spotted showing affection in Miami. That month, Pippen and the international basketball player made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of The Accountant 2.

Pippen mentioned that she and Coby share “so much in common,” which contrasts with her past relationships. (Larsa was married to Scottie Pippen from 1997 to 2021 and dated Michael Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan from 2022 to 2023.)

“I feel like Jeff and I are alike in many ways. We are both traditional in a lot of respects,” she explained. “We love family time, and in the past, I’ve dated men who didn’t prioritize that or weren’t as family-oriented as I am. They found it strange that I wanted to spend so much time with my parents or siblings.”

Earlier this month, Coby hinted at plans for a wedding next year, though Larsa clarified it was likely “just a joke.”

“We are definitely serious,” she stated. “We enjoy each other’s company and are having a great time.”

When it comes to a possible proposal, Larsa is open to the idea but remains uncertain about the future.

“I genuinely enjoy being with him. We have a wonderful relationship, and I do love him,” she told Us. “So we’ll see what happens.”

With Scottie, Marcus, and Jeff all being basketball players, Larsa acknowledges her inclination towards athletes.

“What I appreciate about athletes is their discipline,” she mentioned to Us. “Most athletes maintain a disciplined approach to their routines, including their diet, workouts, and sleep.”

Larsa pointed out that while she’s been surrounded by athletes throughout her life, it’s not the sole quality she seeks in a partner.

“If you are intelligent with goals and ambition, I enjoy being motivated. I want to be around driven individuals,” she explained.

Larsa expressed her preference for men who are “kind” and “intelligent.”

Now that she’s happily in a relationship, she understands the challenges of dating. That’s why she collaborated with Date.com to assist others in finding their perfect matches.
