Chrissy Teigen Reveals Bandaged Face During Instagram Live Session

Chrissy Teigen has made an appearance on social media with a face covered in bandages.

In an Instagram Live shared on her account on Thursday, May 22, Teigen, 39, was seen with bandages encircling her head and a visibly swollen face, seemingly resting on what appeared to be a hospital bed.

While the specifics of her procedure remain unclear, fans voiced their concerns in the comments during the Instagram Live.

“Are you okay?” one commenter asked, while another noted, “Surgery face, oh girl.”

Teigen has been quite transparent in the past regarding her cosmetic surgery choices.

In an interview with Glamour UK in March 2020, the cookbook author explained her decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery at around 20 years old to advance her modeling career.

“It was more for a swimsuit thing,” the Sports Illustrated model revealed at the time. “I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky!”

Teigen mentioned that having children influenced her perspective on her implants. (Teigen and her husband John Legend are parents to daughter Luna, 9, son Miles, 7, daughter Esti, 2, and son Wren, 1.)

“Then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate, and now I am screwed,” she added.

Teigen also spoke about her breast augmentation during a January 2024 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, where she shared that she’s had “three boob jobs.”

“I’ve had a lift, a put-in, a take-them-out. I don’t like them out,” she stated.

Recently, Teigen has opened up about other health experiences she’s faced, including her journey with sobriety and alcohol.

Earlier this month, Teigen revealed she had a “relapse” after previously cutting alcohol out of her life in 2017 and again in 2020.

In a post on Instagram on May 15, Teigen expressed feelings of disappointment for allowing alcohol “back into my life.”

“The truth is, I don’t know what I’m doing. I one hundred percent know I like me better sober,” she wrote in a candid and lengthy caption. “I one hundred percent know I get more done, I absolutely feel better in my body without it. And I am one hundred percent pissed that I can’t be normal and have a cocktail with my husband on vacay without it turning into 8 and feeling like sh**.”
