3 New Tubi Movies Rated 90% and Above on Rotten Tomatoes (June 2025)

Let’s be honest — Tubi doesn’t enjoy the most stellar reputation among the major streaming platforms. This perception is understandable since it’s free, often seen as lower quality, and it’s notorious for its cheesy original films like Titanic 666, He Played Me 2, and Down for Whatever.

However, Tubi is quietly becoming the go-to platform for high-quality classic films and TV shows. The June 2025 programming lineup features so many classics that it puts competing services like Netflix to shame.

One reliable sign of a film’s quality is its high score on Rotten Tomatoes. Here at Watch With Us, we maintain high standards, so we’ve handpicked three new films in Tubi’s June lineup that boast a score of at least 90 percent.

‘Clouds of Sils Maria’ (2014)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 91 percent

Maria Enders (Juliette Binoche) is a successful actress facing a pivotal moment in her life, now referred to as “a woman of a certain age.” She’s been offered a role in a play she previously starred in — but this time, instead of playing the daughter, she’s being asked to play the mother. Ouch. Traveling to the picturesque French Alps to prepare for her role, she forms a bond with her assistant, Valentine (Kristen Stewart), as she contemplates her standing in the world.

Clouds of Sils Maria is a curious film — blending elements of drama, satire, mystery, and even science fiction, it doesn’t fit neatly into any one genre. The film closes with an ambiguous ending, leaving viewers to interpret its meaning.

‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ (1993)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 97 percent

Tina Turner (Angela Bassett) is undoubtedly one of the best-selling musicians in history, with appearances in films and shows like Tommy and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. However, how many really know the “real” Tina? What’s Love Got to Do With It fills in the gaps of her rags-to-riches story, detailing a life filled with extreme highs and devastating lows.

The film primarily focuses on Tina’s tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner (Laurence Fishburne), who initially serves as her mentor and later becomes her husband. Their marriage deteriorates as Ike physically and emotionally abuses Tina for years, until she ultimately breaks free. Left feeling “washed-up” by the music industry, she launches a comeback that leads her to become one of the most popular musicians of the 1980s.

Bassett’s transformative portrayal of Tina is nothing short of a tour de force, while Fishburne’s performance as Ike is equally powerful. He manages to embody both charm and menace, illustrating the complexities of toxic masculinity in a striking manner.

‘Little Shop of Horrors’ (1986)

Rotten Tomatoes score: 91 percent

How did anyone conceive of Little Shop of Horrors as a musical? Originating as a 1960 B-horror film, it has since transformed into a Broadway favorite. Directed by the talented Frank Oz in 1986, the movie featured a star-studded cast but initially flopped at the box office. Critics, however, appreciated it, and you will too.

Seymour (Rick Moranis) works at a struggling flower shop while harboring feelings for his colleague Audrey (Ellen Greene). When a peculiar plant named Audrey II (voiced by Levi Stubbs) captures attention, it demands a seemingly dire ingredient: blood. In a bid to save the shop and win Audrey’s affections, Seymour feeds it, but soon, the plant grows larger and more insatiable, posing a threat to everyone around — and perhaps the world itself.

And yes, it’s a musical! The film’s unusual sci-fi horror premise effectively supports a range of catchy tunes like the title song, “Skid Row,” and “Somewhere That’s Green.” Moranis and Greene shine as the mismatched couple, alongside a strong supporting cast featuring Steve Martin as a sadistic dentist and Bill Murray as his masochistic patient.
