Alix Earle Opens Up About Her Regret Over Veneers and Shares a Difficult Experience
Alix Earle expressed that she “immediately regretted” her choice to get veneers.
The 24-year-old influencer opened up about her cosmetic procedure in a TikTok video on Wednesday, July 2, discussing her decision to keep it under wraps after graduating from college.
“I never wanted to share it,” she said, “because I instantly felt regret. I don’t want to influence anyone to make choices that I personally believe are unwise.”
Earle mentioned that she didn’t have braces growing up and used Invisalign to align her teeth during her senior year of high school. However, she noted that the treatment made two of her front teeth appear “shorter.” “So I opted for composite bonding,” she explained, which added length but made them delicate.
“I tend to be an anxious person, and occasionally I grind my teeth while I sleep, leading to cracks,” she explained. “It honestly happened frequently.”
During her senior year of college, Earle had built a significant TikTok following and thought it would be an appropriate moment to get veneers. Initially, she only wanted two to correct the problematic teeth, but a dentist convinced her to go for ten.

“Honestly, it’s quite emotional for me,” she said, fighting back tears as she reflected on following the dentist’s advice and instantly regretting it. “I felt scared, thinking, ‘What did I just do?’ I had decent teeth before, and now I’m worried about maintaining this for life.”
Earle remarked that her veneers look “very similar to my natural teeth,” leading her to question, “Why did I do this in the first place?”
She confessed, “While I don’t have many regrets, this is one I truly feel remorse over. Ultimately, it was my choice, but it was made rather hastily. I didn’t fully think it through or consult enough people.”
Earle also mentioned that she recently chipped a tooth while chatting with Kate Hudson at a social event on the Ritz-Carlton cruise line, sipping a margarita with a straw during the incident.
She recalled Hudson, 46, being “incredibly kind” about the incident, saying, “Thank goodness for her; otherwise, I would have been alone, crying over my tooth.”
In the TikTok, Earle demonstrated filing down the tooth to make it less rough.
The social media star gained popularity on the platform in 2022. Us Weekly confirmed last month that she is working on a reality show featuring her and her family. “It will showcase Alix traveling globally for work and her family dynamics,” a source shared with Us.
