Bad Bunny Shows Off Mysterious Hat Following Split with Kendall Jenner
Bad Bunny’s recent photo release has fans speculating whether one of his images contains a subtle message aimed at his ex-girlfriends.
The music icon, 31, posted a series of photos on Instagram on Monday, July 7, captioned “Lunes.” Among the various images of the Grammy winner enjoying his summer, it was the second snapshot that caught attention. This particular photo featured a close-up of a green baseball cap with the phrase, “Stop dating people who don’t get your music.”
While it appears to be a pre-made meme rather than an actual hat owned by Bad Bunny, that didn’t stop some fans from reacting to the cap’s message.
“Friendly fire 😂,” quipped one Instagram user in the comments. Another commented with a more targeted theory, stating, “That second pic was for Kendall 😂😂.”
Bad Bunny was last publicly associated with Kendall Jenner, whom he started dating in early 2023. Although they were spotted together frequently, they maintained a low profile regarding their relationship.
In June 2023, Bad Bunny declined to confirm his relationship status with Jenner, 29, during a conversation with Rolling Stone. “I know something is going to come out. I know [people are] going to say something. People know everything about me, so what’s left for me to protect? My private life, my personal life,” he elaborated. “That’s the only answer. In the end, the only thing I have is my privacy.”
The couple separated in December 2023 after less than a year together but briefly reignited their romance last year when they were seen being affectionate at the Met Gala.
“They’re in a great place right now since his tour is over, and they’ve been spending time traveling around Europe together,” a source told Us Weekly in July 2024, adding that the pair chose to give their relationship another try due to their “undeniable” chemistry.
Another insider shared with Us that Jenner felt particularly cherished during her time with the rapper because he treated her “like a princess.”
“Kendall appreciates everything he does for her and how much he respects her,” the second source clarified at the time. “It’s hard to resist when a man treats you like you’re the center of his world.”
Before his romance with Jenner, Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) was in a long-term relationship with influencer and jewelry designer Gabriela Berlingeri. The former couple began dating in 2017 and parted ways in 2022.
Jenner, for her part, previously had a relationship with NBA player Devin Booker.
