Madison LeCroy from Southern Charm Opens Up About Her Pregnancy During Filming
Madison LeCroy was thrilled to be expecting her second child, but she didn’t realize how challenging it would be to continue filming Southern Charm during this time.
“Honestly, it was probably one of the toughest experiences I’ve ever had,” Madison, 34, shared exclusively with Us Weekly regarding her time filming for Bravo while pregnant.
She humorously added, “I don’t know if it was because I was completely sober or if it was just the extra weight and the heat. I felt like I was melting.”
Madison — who revealed her pregnancy with husband Brett Randle during the Southern Charm season 10 reunion in March — admitted that filming became increasingly difficult as her pregnancy progressed. (She is also the mother of Hudson, 12, from her previous marriage to Josh Hughes.)
Now with baby Teddi in her arms, Madison’s perspective has shifted. The hairstylist informed Us Weekly that Teddi was born on Sunday, June 29, at 34 weeks. Madison also shared her birthing experience through an Amazon Livestream sponsored by Graco on Thursday, July 3.
Madison expressed that Teddi is “independent” and everyone has become “obsessed” with her just days after her arrival. With both mother and baby now home, Madison mentioned to Us that she’s been nesting and not concerning herself about which of her Southern Charm co-stars are aware of her news.
Venita Aspen, however, was among the select few who were informed before the birth.
“I had to tell Venita because I was worried she might track my location, and I thought, ‘Oh no, if she sees me here, she’ll find out,’” Madison recounted to Us. “So Venita knows, but I’m not sure if she’s told anyone else. It’s just a matter of time.”
Since joining the Bravo cast in 2019, Madison quipped that she’s surprised “none of them have reached out” lately, highlighting her recent social media silence.
“They haven’t heard from me in three days, so they’re in for it,” she laughed, joking that the cast should have realized her quietness was a sign.
Throughout the years, Madison’s friendships on Southern Charm have evolved. While she remains close with her ex-boyfriend Austen Kroll, she firmly stated that he is not on her list of approved babysitters.
When asked who among the cast would be “least likely” to care for Teddi, Madison named, “Whitney [Sudler-Smith] for sure.”
She added, “Honestly, I don’t think any of the guys would be suitable. They’re all off the list.”
Another decision awaiting Madison is whether to allow Teddi to make her Southern Charm debut this season, or at all. Madison admitted that she doesn’t have a definitive answer yet regarding whether the baby will be featured on the show.
“Honestly, we’ll have to see what she decides, but I’m not sure they can afford her,” she joked. “She’s a little diva.”
Madison’s son, Hudson, has made appearances in several episodes of the Bravo series, as has her husband, whom she married in November 2022. Only time will tell if Teddi will join the cast.
For now, Madison is enjoying the newborn phase and aims to “soak up” every precious moment.
