A Closer Look at Christie Brinkley’s Cosmetic Enhancements

Christie Brinkley spoke openly about the cosmetic procedures she has undergone.

The 71-year-old model shared her experiences with cosmetic enhancements during a conversation with People on Thursday, April 17. “I’ve experimented with fillers, and I consult my doctor in the city,” she stated, adding, “I don’t want to appear ‘done’ or anything.”

Brinkley mentioned that she had recently undergone a Fraxel laser treatment, which is designed for skin resurfacing. “I had skin cancer, and this treatment helps eliminate precancerous cells,” she said. Fraxel is also effective in diminishing the signs of fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage by encouraging the growth of new skin cells.

“For me now, it’s primarily about health,” Brinkley expressed.

As she ages, Brinkley appreciates seeing more visibility for “seasoned ladies” in the media.

“One of the most beautiful developments in the beauty industry is the broader definition of beauty,” she noted. “Age remains the last frontier. While we see older women on runways and in magazines, it still feels insufficient.”

Brinkley reflected on her return to CoverGirl two decades ago in 2005, after having initially been the face of the brand in 1976.

“When I rejoined CoverGirl, it was specifically for products with light-reflecting components that penetrate the wrinkle and reflect outward, effectively blurring its appearance,” she said while raving about the makeup back then. “I’m not suggesting that you can’t have wrinkles, but sometimes a little goes a long way.”

This isn’t the first occasion Brinkley has been honest about accepting aging. In July 2024, she shared a sultry photo on Instagram, lounging on a bed in a low-cut dress.
