Venita Aspen became part of Southern Charm in season 7 of 2020 as a “friend” before transitioning to a full-time cast member in the following season. In season 9, which aired in 2023, she introduced her boyfriend Manny to the audience.

In summer 2024, Venita began dating castmate Jarrett “JT” Thomas. By January 2025, she confirmed their relationship before the season 10 trailer debuted in October 2024, at which point JT seemed to disappear from her life. On a “Housewives Nightcap” podcast, Venita clarified that JT didn’t ghost her, stating, “He popped up with a girlfriend on Instagram.”

In March 2025, Venita provided clarity about her relationship with JT, telling Us exclusively, “We started dating when I returned from New York in September [2024],” emphasizing that it occurred months after the events depicted on the show.

“Our timeline was September, October, November,” she recounted, noting that she and JT were considering, “OK, are we doing this? Do we actually like each other? Is it just because we’re spending so much time together?”

Venita mentioned that in November 2024, JT “posted about having a girlfriend on Instagram,” which was “how I found out” he was seeing someone else, named Ali Pereless.

While Venita described their relationship as “just dating” and not serious, she stated that JT had not informed her before publicizing his new romance. Following the incident, Venita ceased communication with JT and didn’t reconnect until the season 10 reunion, filmed in early 2025.
