All the Archie and Lilibet Mentions in Season 2 of ‘With Love, Meghan’
Motherhood was always destined for Meghan Markle.
“I always dreamed of being a mom,” the 44-year-old stated to With Love, Meghan guest Tan France during the Netflix show’s second season. “I used to save my allowance and head to Kmart to buy a real diaper bag.”
She continued, “I was determined: ‘I don’t want the kid version. I want a genuine diaper bag like a real mom would have to care for my doll.’ My desire to be a mom has always been strong.”
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are parents to two children, son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4.
“I love it,” the Duchess of Sussex expressed about parenting. “It’s even better than I anticipated.”

More Pets?
In Episode 2, Meghan mentioned to guest Chrissy Teigen (who has two hairless cats) that Archie and Lili are “really wanting a cat.”
Yet, Harry and Meghan are well-known dog lovers. Meghan’s late dog, Guy, who passed away in January, appears multiple times in the show recorded in 2024.
A Relatable Mom Moment
The third episode features a significant parenting discussion with Tan. He brought over a loaf of bread made by his husband, Rob France, which led to talking about their kids. (Tan and Rob have sons Ismail, 4, and Isaac, 2.)
“It’s quite a complicated bread,” Tan noted, mentioning that his husband “doesn’t always have the time to bake it. During a parenting freak-out, he’ll opt to make bread instead of screaming into a corner.”
Meghan called it “his moving meditation” before sharing her escape method.
“For me, that’s a glass of wine,” she laughed. “Or perhaps some yoga.”
Their Food Preferences
Lili enjoys it when Meghan sprinkles chia seeds in her pancakes. “‘I want it to have freckles,’” the duchess remembered her daughter saying.
Meanwhile, Archie loves to dish out compliments—especially regarding Meghan’s “presentation” of their meals.
“Archie often says, ‘Oh, mama, that looks beautiful,’” she noted.
Lili’s Favorite Color
“There’s a lot of pink in our home,” Meghan revealed during her chat with Tan in episode 3. “Lili is all about pink.”
The two decorated aprons for the kids, and Meghan chose to “stick with ombré pinks” and “call it a day.”
Sweet Baby Boy Archie
Meghan described her eldest son as “the most tender, sweet, adorable child ever” during her conversation with Tan.
Never Being Apart
Meghan shared that the “longest” she’s ever been away from Archie and Lili was “almost three weeks” and that she was “not well” during that time.
Pregnancy Foods — But Not Cravings
“My Ayurvedic doctor had me consume so many dates while pregnant,” Meghan said in episode 4. “So many dates.”
Using Spices for More Than Cooking
“When Archie was born, I remember when he had a belly ache, his wife, Radhi Devlukia, said, ‘Just take a bit of Hing and apply it to his belly button,’” Meghan recounted to episode 5 guest Jay Shetty. “To this day, I’m like, ‘Just get a little bit of Hing.’”
Fun In the Kitchen
While making vegan coconut macaroons, Meghan mentioned that her “kids would love” dipping the delightful treats into chocolate to finish them off.
Their British Roots
In episode 6, Meghan noted that her kids “will use a mix of both” British and American terms, but “never when it comes to cooking,” since Harry isn’t the chef at home.
“Both of them say zeb-rah instead of zebra,” she commented.
How Big Is Lili Now?
At the time of filming season 2, Meghan reported that Lili was “about 35 pounds.”
They Love a Sweet Treat
Meghan baked raspberry thumbprint cookies for her friend Heather Dorak — and shared a few with her children.
“I’ve been putting them in our kids’ lunchboxes for the past week, and they keep asking, ‘Can we have another thumbprint cookie?’” she shared.
Getting Ready for the Kids to Grow Up
“I have to brace myself,” Meghan reflected in the season finale. “The kids are just 3 and 5, and I’m already like, ‘No, no, don’t cry,’” she expressed.
