Andrew Walker Confirms Conclusion of Three Wise Men Trilogy with Upcoming Third Film
This month, Hallmark delighted fans by announcing the third chapter of the Three Wise Men series — but unfortunately, every good journey has its conclusion.
“This is a wrap-up movie,” stated Andrew Walker in an interview with EntertainmentNow on Wednesday, July 16, confirming that the forthcoming “Countdown to Christmas” film will mark the end for the Brenner brothers, who brought joy to audiences in 2022 while looking after a baby during the holidays.
Playing Luke Brenner, Walker emphasized that audiences will find closure with the upcoming third Three Wise Men movie, set to debut later this year. (Hallmark revealed the new film on July 12, teasing that Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell will reprise their roles.)
“You’re going to see many familiar faces from the earlier films,” Walker, 46, shared, admitting, “I’d work with this group for my entire career, you know? But we can’t be selfish about what we want.”
Walker mentioned that wrapping up with a third film is “what’s best for this specific story.” He reflected, “Sometimes, if you go too far, you risk losing its charm.”
With this perspective, Walker, Hynes, and Campbell, who play the brothers Taylor and Stephen, agreed that bidding farewell to these characters is the right decision.

“We’re genuinely thrilled to have this chance to conclude the story, tie it up nicely, and perhaps explore new ventures,” Walker added. “I think three is the magic number for the Three Wise Men franchise. We all feel quite fortunate.”
While it will be a bittersweet experience to see the Brenner brothers face their final curtain call this holiday season, Walker assures fans there’s still much to look forward to.
As with the 2022 film Three Wise Men and a Baby and 2024’s Three Wiser Men and a Boy, Campbell, 46, and Kimberley Sustad penned the script for the third movie. They have also welcomed back screenwriter Russell Hainline, who contributed to the sequel’s narrative.
“Kimberley is responsible for all the heartfelt dialogue,” Walker noted. “Paul adds humor to the mix. Together, they also handle the more significant scenes. Russell is a brilliant writer who collaborates seamlessly with them.”
Walker has already perused the script and is eager to see the audience’s reactions. “Trust me, folks are in for a treat. It’s going to be an entertaining ride,” he teased.

Walker explained that with Miles Marthaller returning as his son, Thomas, and Margaret Colin reprising her role as the mother, Barbara, fans can expect the warmth and uplifting stories they adore from the Brenner family. Additionally, Sustad, 38, will make another appearance, maintaining the tradition established in the first two films.
“There’s an undeniable sense of family and completeness when we’re all together,” Walker remarked with a chuckle. “Strangely enough, with us living in Vancouver, our extended family includes Paul and Kimberley, and when Tyler’s around, it feels like a bonus.”
Even after the conclusion of the Three Wise Men series, the bond between the Hallmark stars will remain strong. Walker mentioned that he has had discussions with Hynes, 39, Campbell, and Sustad about future collaborations.
“Just because this franchise is ending doesn’t mean we won’t work together again,” he concluded. “There are plenty of stories left to tell.”
