Anna Kournikova Welcomes Fourth Child with Enrique Iglesias
Anna Kournikova and her longtime partner, Enrique Iglesias, have welcomed their fourth child.
The couple shared the joyful news on Monday, December 22, with a joint Instagram post featuring a picture of the newborn wrapped in a striped blanket. “My Sunshine 12.17.2025,” Kournikova, 44, captioned the image.
People reported on August 28 that Kournikova was expecting, and that she and Iglesias, 50, were “very excited to become parents again.”
Rumors about the retired tennis star’s pregnancy surfaced over the summer when Kournikova was seen with what appeared to be a baby bump while running errands with their children. (The couple already has twins Lucy and Nicholas, 8, and daughter Mary, 5.)
Kournikova was not present when Iglesias made a triumphant return to the stage in Spain at the Estadio de Gran Canaria on July 5. This performance was particularly significant for Iglesias as he had not performed in his home country for six years.
The couple is known for maintaining a private relationship. Us confirmed in December 2017 that they had secretly welcomed twins after they were photographed leaving the hospital following Lucy and Nicholas’ birth.
Kournikova announced the arrival of her daughter Mary in January 2020 with a glimpse into the delivery room as she held her newborn daughter.
Despite being together since meeting in 2001, Iglesias and Kournikova have not married. Kournikova stated in 2011 to Women’s Health that marriage was not a priority for her.
“[Marriage] isn’t important to me. I’m in a happy relationship — that’s all that matters,” Kournikova said. “I believe in commitment. I believe in being open and trusting each other and respecting each other completely.”
While Iglesias has referred to Kournikova as his “wife” on stage, he admitted to The Sun in 2017 that he too sees no real advantage to formally getting married.
“We’re just as happy [as a married couple],” Iglesias insisted. “At a certain point in a relationship, you feel married without a ceremony. I guess the only difference is that we haven’t walked down the aisle.”
In 2023, Iglesias shared a rare look into their relationship, revealing how their careers helped them connect.
“When we met — although she came from the sports world — we kind of understood each other,” he told People. “She knew what my world was like, and I understood hers. That understanding helped us bond, and we got stronger together.”
While their relationship initially attracted considerable media attention, Iglesias and Kournikova have stepped back from the public eye in recent years to focus on raising their family.
Kournikova made her first public appearance in almost three years this past January when she was spotted in a wheelchair and wearing a walking boot on her right foot at the Bal Harbor Shops in Miami, according to photographs obtained by The New York Post.
Despite concerns about her health, Kournikova was seen out of her walking boot by March when photos published by Hola! magazine showed her enjoying a day on a boat with Iglesias and their children in Miami.
