Archie Mountbatten-Windsor: A Growing Up Gallery of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Son
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated the arrival of their first child, a son named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in May 2019.
“We are delighted to share that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child early in the morning on May 6th, 2019,” the couple announced on Instagram. “Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. Both the duchess and baby are healthy and doing well. The couple expresses their gratitude to the public for their excitement and support during this incredibly special time. Additional details will follow in the coming days.”
When Harry and Meghan made their son’s royal debut later that month, the former actress expressed her joy about their baby.
“He has the sweetest temperament,” she remarked to the press inside Windsor Castle. “He’s really calm. He’s been a dream, making these past few days truly special.”
In January 2020, the couple announced their intention to step back from their senior roles within the royal family. After spending time with their son in Canada, they relocated to Los Angeles and have since shared fewer updates about the young prince. The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lili, in June 2021.
