ASAP Rocky Refers to Himself as Rihanna’s Devoted Husband
A$AP Rocky described himself as Rihanna’s “loving husband” during a recent interview.
The rapper made this remark in an interview with Perfect magazine, published on Wednesday, October 29, even though Rocky and the “Diamonds” singer have never publicly confirmed or denied an official marriage.
“Being a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy,” he shared.
Rocky, 37, added, “What genuinely motivates me is being able to express myself creatively, being a family man, and being an artisan.”
The “Am I Dreaming” artist fueled speculation about the couple’s marital status during an interview with Elle in September.
“How do you know I’m not already a husband?” he playfully suggested during the chat.
Nevertheless, the rapper avoided confirming any wedding, stating, “I’m still not gonna confirm it.”
This isn’t the first time rumors have circulated about Rocky and Rihanna, 37, secretly tying the knot, stemming from the rapper’s previous comments.
In June 2023, Rocky referred to Rihanna as his “wife” during one of his live performances, adding to the speculation.
“I’d like to dedicate this song to my beautiful wife in the motherf***ing building!” he proclaimed during his second set.
Rocky, who shares sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2, as well as newborn daughter Rocki, with Rihanna, has been open about his joy in being a dad.
Earlier this month, he expressed his pride in his daughter during an interview with Complex.
“My daughter. That’s my favorite creation this year,” Rocky shared with the outlet on October 9. “Shout out to Rocki Irish, man.”
Rihanna has publicly praised Rocky’s parenting skills and commitment to family life.
The “Pon De Replay” singer revealed to Harper’s Bazaar in February that the “greatest thing” about her partner is “seeing him be a dad.”
In the interview, she humorously noted it’s sometimes frustrating that her sons seem to favor him over her.
“I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she remarked. “And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ But they love him, and seeing it is the best.”
Rihanna has also mentioned how motherhood positively transformed her life.
“It’s everything. You really don’t recall life before, which is the craziest thing ever,” she shared with British Vogue in 2023. “You literally try to remember it — and there are photos of my life before — but the feelings, desires, the joy of it all, you just don’t connect with anymore, because it really doesn’t matter.”
After starting as friends, Rocky confirmed their relationship in an interview with GQ in 2021, when he called her “The One.”
