Ayo Edebiri Embraces Julia Roberts’ Iconic Red Hair at the 2025 Golden Globes

Ayo Edebiri embraced a fashion statement.
Edebiri, 29, revealed that she added a subtle touch of crimson to her hair on the morning of the 2025 Golden Globes, while speaking with Today on the red carpet.
“We dyed my hair this morning,” she explained. “It was a bit wild to dye my hair in a hotel room, but I think it was worth it!”
This last-minute hair transformation complemented her Julia Roberts-inspired ensemble, as she channeled the actress’ iconic look from the 1990 Golden Globes.
For her glam, Edebiri opted for a complete look that included rosy cheeks, pink eyeshadow, filled-in brows, long lashes, and lined lips. Her newly dyed hair was parted and styled in bouncing curls.

Edebiri’s stylist later took to Instagram to share a side-by-side comparison of Edebiri and Roberts, 57, captioned “important.”
Edebiri also shared glimpses of her preparation for the event on Monday, January 6, along with photos from inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“Wore a suit, wore a grill, met some friends, almost missed the red carpet so Ethan took some not-so-great pictures of me 🫶🏾,” she captioned her photos. “Feeling a lot of love and incredibly grateful – Golden Globes ‘25!!! 🪶❣️.”
This year, Edebiri received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy, for her portrayal of Sydney Adamu in The Bear. The award ultimately went to Jean Smart for her role in Hacks.
