Bachelor Nation Selects Their Top Choice for The Bachelor Season 30 Lead
The hunt is on for the next star to helm another romantic season of The Bachelor.
In June 2025, it was announced that ABC has decided to renew its beloved reality show for a 30th season.
As reported by Deadline, The Bachelor will now have a new showrunner, Scott Teti, who is currently executive producer and showrunner of Bachelor in Paradise season 10.
Although the premiere date and cast remain unannounced, Bachelor Nation is already abuzz with speculation about who might be the season’s leading man.
“If they are outside the franchise, they need to be a significant celebrity,” former Bachelor Ben Higgins told Us Weekly at iHeartRadio and Vrbo’s Celebrity Pickleball tournament in July 2025. “You can’t go for a C-lister who was in some random Hallmark film. I don’t think the audience will accept that. I believe casting someone from our past would be fantastic.”
Before ABC proceeds with an official announcement, let’s check out what some franchise members are saying:
Leslie Fhima
After filming with Jonathon Johnson on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, Leslie expressed her enthusiasm for the creative director from Kansas City, Missouri.
“I’m rooting for Jonathon from Paradise,” the former Golden Bachelor contestant told Us. “I really care for him. He would be an incredible Bachelor—fun, charming, funny, and kind. We all want him to find love. I genuinely think he’d be amazing.”
Ben Higgins
“There were whispers about Jason Tartick and Dale Moss,” the co-host of iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous” podcast revealed to Us. “I truly believe in Andrew Spencer—whatever happens in Paradise—and Greg Grippo. They could definitely attract an audience back. … Andrew is appealing and has been on our screens long enough to have a loyal following.”
Reflecting on the most recent season of The Bachelorette, Ben struggles to envision anyone from Jenn Tran’s group stepping into the role.
“I can’t seem to identify anyone from that season who stands out,” he admitted.
Theresa Nist
“Oh my goodness. Who’s truly available?” Theresa quipped to Us while watching the latest episodes of Bachelor in Paradise. “Can we say Brad Pitt? If he were single, it would be amazing to watch. We’re just dreaming big here.”
Unfortunately, Brad is currently involved with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon.
Bob Guiney
Though it’s been nearly 22 years since Bob led The Bachelor in season 4, he remains eager about who could take up the mantle next.
“I really like Jason Tartick. I’ve always had a soft spot for him,” the co-host of iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous OG” podcast shared with Us. “He’s a real mama’s boy, which I find endearing. He cares for his mom, Caluch, who we all adore. Jason would be a great choice. He’s familiar to Bachelor Nation, too.”
Jonathon also caught Bob’s eye, particularly for his dynamic with April Kirkwood on Bachelor in Paradise.
“I think Jonathon has always been a favorite among younger fans, and his interactions with April in Paradise were quite interesting,” Bob noted. “He’s a genuinely nice guy, appears well-intentioned, and seems to have a good sense of humor.”
Gary Levingston
When asked about potential candidates for the next Bachelor, Gary suggested someone he met while filming The Golden Bachelorette.
“I believe Jonathan Michel Rone would make an incredible Bachelor,” he said to Us. “There’s also a young man from this season’s Paradise who I think could be a fantastic addition, although he might already be in a relationship. That’s the challenge, right? In Paradise, it seems everyone is paired up with someone.”
