Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran Shares What Happened to Her Engagement Dress
Jenn Tran remained unfazed by the engagement dress she wore while proposing to Devin Strader on The Bachelorette.
In an exclusive chat with Us Weekly, Tran, 27, shared insights about her white lace Randi Rahm gown from the season 21 finale. “I returned that thing!” she laughed, mentioning her split from Strader, 28, in August 2024. “I mean, they don’t really let me keep a lot of the wardrobe. I’m not purchasing that out of my own pocket, so all the clothes go back to The Bachelorette, except for a few cute items, and I definitely did not keep my engagement dress.”
While many women in Bachelor Nation have chosen to burn their engagement dresses post-breakup, Tran felt that wasn’t an option for her. “Oh, my gosh. Oh gosh. Can you imagine?” she chuckled to Us. (Clare Crawley famously tossed her teal dress from season 18 into a fire during season 16 of The Bachelorette, while season 27’s Gabby Elnicki expressed her desire to “burn this dress in a fire pit with sage” due to its “bad juju.”)
Following her time on The Bachelorette, Tran competed in season 33 of Dancing With the Stars alongside Sasha Farber but is now stepping back from reality TV to pursue her education to become a physician assistant. “I’m back in school, but I’m virtually attending classes for the first month,” Tran revealed to Us, admitting her nerves about returning to in-person classes after being in the public eye. “I feel intimidated. I worry people might think I’m weird, actually.”
If you ask Us, Tran is likely to be surrounded by new friends as she resumes in-person classes for PA school and dance classes, which she intends to join.
“I’ve been meaning to enroll in a dance class, but I’ve been so busy, probably procrastinating and making excuses — they seem so intimidating,” Tran confessed, despite her impressive dance performances with Farber, 40.
Throughout her experiences on DWTS and The Bachelorette, Tran not only mastered dance moves but also learned makeup tips that have stuck with her.
“I once thought I was good at makeup until I started getting it done professionally. That’s when I realized I knew nothing about it,” she joked with Us.
From blending concealer shades for a perfect peachy undertone to hiding dark circles to layering both liquid and powder blushes, Tran’s glam routine has improved significantly. A standout product for her is the Makeup For Ever Setting Spray, which kept her makeup intact for up to 12 hours.

“We had makeup done at 8 in the morning,” Tran explained about her DWTS schedule. “Then we had a dress rehearsal at noon, and the show started at 5 p.m., and my makeup would last. It was absolutely insane. I’ve never experienced anything like it.”
In addition to her makeup enhancements, Tran recently treated herself to lip fillers and Botox for subtle enhancements. “I got [lip filler] back in June and chose a professional who administers it very, very subtly because I wanted to avoid anything too dramatic,” she revealed to Us, noting she had a retouch in December 2024. “If something is bothering you and you can do something to boost your confidence, then why not? I feel so much more confident now; I can wake up without needing lipstick to feel good about my lips.”
Focusing on her aesthetics, Tran used Botox to improve facial symmetry and make her eyebrows look more even.
Despite her busy schedule, Tran plans to keep her fans updated via social media. “I probably won’t be as active as I am now since I have to devote a lot of time to studying,” she explained. “Things will change, but I’m brainstorming content and making a plan so I can manage it efficiently while still enjoying a normal life.”
