Bella Hadid Responds to Rumors About Facelift and Fox Eye Surgery

Bella Hadid is clarifying the rumors surrounding her supposed cosmetic surgery.

Hadid, 28, spoke candidly about her cosmetic procedures in a conversation with British Vogue on Tuesday, May 13. In a social media video, she demonstrated her makeup routine to achieve her iconic foxy look. “They always laugh. People think I’ve undergone a facelift or that cat-eye procedure, whatever it’s called,” she remarked, referring to the “fox eye” surgery, which creates an almond-shaped, lifted appearance. “But I’m going to show you a simpler method.”

Next, Hadid grabbed her Orebella perfume, using it as a makeshift hair gel in the absence of actual hair product. She spritzed the fragrance into her brunette locks, slicking them back into a tight updo, thus revealing that her uplifted look is due to her hairstyle. “That was like 60 seconds of a snatcheroo,” she joked.

The supermodel — who has been candid about having a nose job at the age of 14 — went on to share that her “natural” glam is her everyday look. When she opts for a more dramatic makeup style, her alter ego, named Belinda, takes charge.

Bella Hadid’s fashion sense is truly remarkable. From low-rise skirts and retro sunglasses to bucket hats and plunging necklines, this supermodel can pull off any look. One of her most talked-about outfits was at the 2022 Met Gala, where she stunned in a Burberry leather corset, lace tights, and a sheer […]

“[Belinda] slays for me during the day, but when I get home, I’m Bella again,” she shared.

In her interview with British Vogue, also released on Tuesday, Hadid elaborated on her alter ego.

“Belinda just does her job. She slays,” Hadid explained. “She might be crying from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., but by the time she arrives at work, there’s a smile on her face and she’s ready to get through the day. That’s Belinda for me.”

Hadid expressed feeling “emotional” when discussing Belinda, as she used this persona as a “mask” for a significant amount of time.

“When I get home, I’m just a depletion. I’m like a skeleton,” she revealed with candor.

She continued: “I often reflect on previous moments, like working for a jewelry brand in Venice years ago or doing magazine covers, and I can pinpoint exactly how I felt in each photo. I remember which days I cried and felt pain. A couple of weeks ago, I approached someone and said, ‘I’m so sorry for that shoot we had in Puglia.’ And she responded: ‘What are you talking about? It was the best shoot.’ Little did she know I was crying behind the scenes after every shot. I suppose I hid it well enough.”

Regarding her true self, Hadid has some regrets about having rhinoplasty at such a young age and often wonders how she might have grown into her “ancestral nose.”
