Below Deck Recap: Rainbeau Labels Stew Solene a ‘Dumb Bitch’ During Ongoing Feud
The conflict between Below Deck cast members Rainbeau de Roos and Solène Favreau has escalated after some unexpected name-calling.
In the episode that aired on Monday, July 14, Rainbeau began to crack under the pressure of managing most of the interior duties. Even chief steward Fraser Olender observed Solène’s frequent breaks and her lack of effort at work. With Rainbeau already having tensions with her fellow stews, Solène and Barbara continued to assign blame to her for any errors that Fraser pointed out.
The situation intensified when Solène confessed she didn’t care about her responsibilities.
“She just genuinely doesn’t give a f***,” Rainbeau stated in a confessional. “You dumb bitch. I think every single person on the boat is actively working harder than you.”
By the end of the episode, Rainbeau was left questioning her future on St. David. “I feel like no matter how much effort I put in, it is not good enough,” she expressed. “When I am giving 100 percent, why is that not good enough? Is there something wrong with me? What the f*** am I doing? Let me know so I can improve.”
She added: “I just feel like I am drowning. There’s no air to breathe.”
In the sneak peek for next week’s episode, Solène shared her thoughts on Rainbeau’s complaints. “I feel your energy, and it just shows me that you don’t care,” she remarked to the producers, adding, “Rainbow is like [the] beast of vagina bush.”
Meanwhile, Solène’s personal life became quite complicated as she grew closer to Jess Theron while still kissing Kyle Stillie on the side. These romantic entanglements negatively impacted the job performance of both Jess and Solène.
Fraser previously informed Us Weekly that audiences should be prepared for at least one firing during the season.
“There are firings. There are hirings,” he teased in May. “There are disasters left, right, and center. But I cannot emphasize enough how dramatic and enjoyable this season is. It is nonstop.”
While bosun Caio Poltronieri has already departed from the season, Fraser has not dismissed the possibility of further changes as he previews season 12.
“I was so excited to dive into this season. I believe I’ve evolved significantly since my initial appearance on the show — and you never know what dynamic the crew will bring,” he remarked at the time. “But I aimed to ensure that, out of any season, this one would showcase my crew at their best. I wanted harmony and a sense of friendship amidst all the chaos. I think we achieved that.”
Below Deck airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, with new episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
