Below Deck’s Captain Jason Chambers Hints at RHOSLC Cast Joining as Charter Guests

Brace yourselves for exciting adventures as the cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City join forces with Below Deck Down Under.

“We were taken by surprise, but it’s incredible. Truly incredible,” shared Captain Jason Chambers exclusively with Us Weekly prior to the crossover airing on Bravo, starting Tuesday, October 28. ”It’s quite the kickoff to a new season, I must say. Honestly, there’s so much packed into this three-day charter, it’s hard to believe.”

In the episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Tuesday, October 21, audiences discovered that Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, and Britani Bateman were set to embark on the yachting experience with Jason’s crew. (Bronwyn Newport’s participation in the trip remains uncertain amid ongoing tensions with Lisa.)

While the ladies raised some eyebrows with their preference sheet inquiries, Jason hinted that this was just the beginning of a memorable journey.

“They are at the top. They’ve elevated the experience,” he humorously remarked to Us about his notable charter guests making a memorable mark. “I don’t think we’ve encountered that level of drama before, but it was incredibly fun. I can’t disclose too much, but let’s just say I had to take on the role of doctor for one of them… I found myself wearing many hats—doctor, yoga instructor, Zen master—trying to keep the peace.”

How did this unexpected Bravo crossover come about?

According to Jason, he has spent time with Whitney and Heather in Australia during several Bravo events.

When Heather expressed her desire to charter with him, Jason couldn’t refuse his friend’s request.

“They’re all so wonderful,” he said. “We felt extremely lucky. [The crew felt] honored to have the chance to spend time with them. They’re genuinely great people. We know what happens when they get together—you’ll see that unfold. I tried bringing in some yoga and calmness, but it’s clear there was little we could do to temper the situation.”

In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode, Lisa faces tough questions from her peers regarding the negative publicity that seems to follow them whenever they’re at odds with the Vida Tequila founder. This leads to intense confrontations and even emotional moments.

“If we separate them at either end of the boat, things quiet down significantly,” Jason quipped to Us. “But once they converge, it’s all systems go.”
