Ben Affleck Shares Update on Samuel’s Dream $6K Dior Sneakers

Ben Affleck demonstrates an impressive approach to teaching his kids the significance of financial responsibility, blending seriousness with a bit of dad humor.
Affleck, 52, jokingly commented on his 13-year-old son Samuel’s desire for a pair of $6,000 Dior sneakers during an appearance on Access Hollywood on Sunday, March 9.
When he playfully asked if Samuel had started mowing the lawn to save up for the sneakers, Affleck rolled his eyes and remarked, “That’s what happens. You tell a kid they have to mow the lawn, and suddenly they don’t want those shoes.”
Affleck continued, explaining, “Samuel was like, ‘But I always said they looked tough.’ But honestly, you don’t need thousand-dollar shoes! I have the means — you’re the one who’s broke!”

Ben Affleck had a comical — yet realistic — response when his son expressed interest in a high-priced pair of sneakers.
While Affleck, 52, and his son Samuel were exploring a sneaker convention on March 3, Samuel’s attention was caught by a particular pair of shoes. The actor, who shares Samuel with ex Jennifer Garner, had mixed emotions about his son’s interest.
Samuel’s eyes brightened when he saw the Dior Air Force 1 sneakers, priced between $6,000 and $8,000. Affleck, however, quickly reminded his son, “That’s a whole lot of lawns to mow!” He added, “You like them because they’re expensive.”
In his defense, Samuel argued, “No, they’re tough! I always said they look good.”

The actor welcomed his first child, daughter Violet, in December 2005, just six months after marrying Garner in France. The couple also welcomed daughter Seraphina shortly afterwards.
As Affleck browsed for sneakers, he sported a pair of limited-edition Parra x Nike SB Dunk Low “Friends & Family” shoes, which can retail for as much as $4,800. These kicks add vibrant colors to any outfit, featuring hues of teal, blue, red, orange, and pink throughout the design.

When asked about his favorite sneakers in a Got Sole interview, Affleck admitted it was tough to choose just one favorite. “He loves the [Nike] De La Soul SBs,” Samuel piped in, and Affleck agreed.
The sneakers feature a brown tongue and tip, a lime-green Nike swoosh, terracotta stitching, and neon graphics on the sides. In March 2024, Affleck was spotted donning them while out in Los Angeles.
