Blake Lively transformed the sidewalk into her own personal runway with a bold look at a New York City event. And no, Upper East Siders, this wasn’t a flashback to Serena van der Woodsen.
The 38-year-old former Gossip Girl star stepped out in a sheer burgundy netted top, showcasing a glimpse of her décolletage and midriff, layered beneath a brown blazer adorned with a statement brooch. She completed her outfit with a high-waisted brown midi skirt on Friday, September 5.
Lively topped off her striking ensemble with lace-up blue suede knee-high boots that featured matching burgundy buttons. Her accessories included a structured silver choker and a gemstone cuff bracelet, along with a patterned, embellished clutch that added another vibrant touch to her look.
For her glam, the actress opted for a radiant vibe paired with soft curls in her hairstyle.
In high spirits, Lively waved to fans and even posed for pictures, including one with a dog, as she headed to the Glossy Pop event. This event coincides with the “kick-off of New York Fashion Week” and is a hotspot for “beauty and fashion lovers eager to connect with the industry’s most exciting brands and creators.”

While she enjoyed her time in the Big Apple, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was in Canada. (The couple, who married in 2012, share four children: daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and son Olin, 2.)
Reynolds, 48, attended the TIFF premiere of the new documentary John Candy: I Like Me, which he produced, on Thursday, September 4. Director Colin Hanks joined the Deadpool star for photos on the red carpet during the Toronto International Film Festival premiere.
The late comedian’s children, Jennifer Candy-Sullivan and Christopher Candy, who were also producers, attended the event as well.
