Viewers will say goodbye to the beloved CBS police procedural that first premiered in September 2010 and has consistently been a strong part of the network’s lineup.
For over 14 years, audiences have tuned in to follow “Blue Bloods,” which focuses on a New York City family dedicated to law enforcement. The core members of the Reagan family include Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, and Len Cariou. Each season, fans have witnessed the Reagans overcoming challenges, engaging with the criminal justice system, and cherishing their heartwarming family dinners.
The main cast of “Blue Bloods” — all of whom have been on the show since its inception — will bid farewell to the series in its upcoming finale.
Marking the series’ conclusion, the 14th season wraps up with 18 episodes, bringing the total number to 293. The second-to-last episode, “Entitlement,” aired on Friday, Dec. 6, igniting the action-packed conclusion.
The series finale, fittingly titled “End of Tour,” follows the Reagans one last time “as they rush to prevent chaos in the city when New York gangs unite to demand amnesty for their imprisoned and trial-awaiting members,” as per a press release. Edward James Olmos, known for his roles in “Miami Vice” and “Battlestar Galactica,” will guest star.

What has the cast shared about the show’s conclusion?
Fans have been anticipating the show’s conclusion for almost a year now. Season 14 debuted in February and was divided into two segments: the first 10 episodes wrapped up in May, while the second half resumed in October.
Before the premiere of Part Two, Wahlberg, who plays Detective Danny Reagan, appeared on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna on Oct. 16 to reflect on leaving the show after so many memorable years.
“Fourteen years went by like a flash,” he remarked.
He went on to articulate why he doesn’t feel “sad” about “Blue Bloods” coming to an end.
“Life has many aspects that can bring sadness. This opportunity was incredible, and I’ve formed amazing, lasting relationships during these 14 years with our cast and crew in this city,” the actor and musician expressed. “So I don’t want to categorize it as ‘sad.’ It’s more emotional.”
He shared that his final day on set involved a scene with Marisa Ramirez, who has portrayed Detective Maria Baez since Season Three, and Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan. Additionally, Wahlberg noted that Selleck chose to visit the set that day, despite his character Frank Reagan rarely interacting with Wahlberg’s Danny.
“He was there watching, and I glimpsed across the room to see him standing there. Tom is typically a serious, focused individual who prefers to hide his emotions. But I noticed he had tears in his eyes,” Wahlberg explained.
Emotional himself, Wahlberg added, “That memory still resonates deeply with me. It prompts reflection not just on the 14 years with the show but on my entire life’s journey.”
As a fan of Selleck from his childhood television appearances, he felt a “tremendous humility” from that moment.
Wahlberg didn’t just take away memories from the “Blue Bloods” set; he also revealed to People that he had taken some sentimental items with him.
“I took my two Danny Reagan outfits — my blue suit and my dress blues,” he noted. “I’ve placed them on mannequins which are now displayed in a Wahlburgers.”
He also mentioned acquiring the iconic Reagan family dining table, featured in every episode.
“Initially, I had no plans to take anything from the set until I discovered that the table and chairs were just sitting in a warehouse,” Wahlberg said.
Fans visiting his Wahlburgers locations will find the costumes and props. He explained that the dining set would tour various Wahlburgers locations.
“I’ll arrange it for fans to sit at the table and take photos. Plus, I plan to raffle it off, likely for charity, with proceeds going to the DEA, the Detectives Endowment Association, for the Widows and Children’s Fund,” he said.
