Bravo Unveils ‘Real Housewives of Rhode Island,’ ‘Wife Swap,’ and More Exciting Shows

Bravo just keeps getting better.

On May 7, the entertainment network revealed that it is broadening its programming with four new series for the year, which includes yet another installment of “Real Housewives.”

The new addition will take place in Rhode Island and is aptly named “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.”

“Set on the shores of the Ocean State, ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise dives into the lives of a close-knit group of Rhode Islanders with deep community ties and family histories that stretch back generations,” reads a press release from Bravo.

As with other “Housewives” series, fans will witness the women’s “aspirational lifestyles, flourishing businesses, and complex family dynamics.”

“These long-standing friendships illustrate that in such a small state, there’s no escaping your history … or one another,” according to the release.

Bravo also announced a reimagining of “Ladies of London,” “Wife Swap,” and “The Valley.”

“Ladies of London” aired for three seasons from 2014-2017 and featured Caroline Stanbury, who was more recently seen on “The Real Housewives of Dubai.”

The network disclosed that the show is returning with “a new wave of British aristocrats, ambitious American expatriates, and glamorous international socialites.”

“As tradition conflicts with a fast-paced global world, these powerful figures redefine what it means to be a woman of status in one of the world’s most iconic cities,” according to the release.

Another reimagined show, “The Valley,” is currently airing its second season and features “Vanderpump Rules” stars Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, and Kristen Doute. A new “Persian Style” version is on the way, featuring familiar faces: Reza Farahan, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, and Mercedes “MJ” Javid, who previously co-starred on Bravo’s “Shahs of Sunset,” which ran for nine seasons and followed their lives in Los Angeles.

Finally, Bravo is bringing back “Wife Swap,” a show that originally aired on ABC and was created in Britain.

In “Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition,” a “Real Housewife” temporarily trades places with a traditional housewife.

“Expect hilarity as two of entertainment’s most iconic franchises collide, leading to laugh-out-loud moments, personal revelations, and a chance to see if the grass is really greener,” reads Bravo’s release.

Moreover, the network announced renewals for many ongoing shows, including “Real Housewives” franchises in Beverly Hills, Orange County, Salt Lake City, and Potomac. New seasons for “Southern Charm,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Married to Medicine,” “Below Deck Down Under,” and “Below Deck Mediterranean” are also on the way.

Upcoming returns include “Below Deck” and “The Real Housewives of Miami.”

A new dating series titled “Kings Court,” featuring Tyson Beckford, Carlos Boozer, and Thaddeus “Titus O’Neil” Bullard, will premiere on July 13. Additionally, a show centered on the children of Bravo stars named “Next Gen NYC” will premiere on June 3.

All Bravo series will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
