Camille Razat Confirms Departure from ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 5 and Hints at Possible Return

Camille Razat has bid “au revoir” to “Emily in Paris.”

The French actress, known for her role as Camille in the series, has confirmed her departure from the Netflix show ahead of its upcoming fifth season. In an Instagram post on April 23, filled with memories from her tenure on the show, Razat, age 31, expressed her decision to move on after an “incredible journey.” Instagram

Razat described her time on the show as a “truly wonderful experience, marked by growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

She expressed gratitude to creator Darren Star, as well as Netflix and Paramount, for the opportunity to bring Camille to life, mentioning they have “left the door open for her return, as she will always be part of the ‘Emily In Paris’ universe.”

“This character has been significant to me, and I feel her storyline has reached a natural conclusion. It seems the ideal time to seek new opportunities,” she said, adding that she recently completed filming two other projects: “Nero” for Netflix and “Les Disparues de la Gare” for Disney+.

Additionally, she shared the exciting news of launching her own production company, Tazar, which currently focuses on music videos and short films.

“We are also working on our first feature film, which I am genuinely passionate about and eager to develop,” she noted.

Razat stated that she departs “Emily In Paris” with nothing but love and appreciation for the cast, crew, and fans.

“Thank you for the incredible journey,” she concluded.

Many of Razat’s co-stars from “Emily in Paris” expressed their support in the comments, including lead actress Lily Collins.

“Love you, sister. It’s been quite the adventure and a true pleasure. You’re a rockstar. Super proud of you,” Collins commented.

Ashley Park, who plays Mindy, added, “love you so much, always proud of you.”

Lucien Laviscount, who plays Alfie and has confirmed his return to the show, shared, “From day one you’ve been my partner on this show. Your love for storytelling, your unique humor, and your steadfastness to your true self amidst pressures is remarkable.”

He continued, “You’re an exceptional person, Camille, and I’m honored to have shared this journey with you over these seasons. Keep shining bright. I will miss our laughter together. I’m rooting for you in all your future endeavors.”

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and Bruno Gouery also left kind messages.

In Season 4 of “Emily in Paris,” Camille attempts to revive her romance with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) amidst some misunderstandings regarding her supposed pregnancy. She ultimately comes clean to Gabriel and navigates her feelings for Greek artist Sofia (Melia Kreiling), before deciding to adopt a baby.

As of now, a premiere date for Season 5 of “Emily in Paris” remains unannounced.
