Candace Owens Accuses Erika Kirk of Fabricating Her Five-Year Dating History

Candace Owens is criticizing Erika Kirk for comments regarding her dating history.

In the episode of Bride of Charlie on Thursday, February 27, Owens, 36, alleged that Erika, 37, fabricated details about her relationships prior to meeting her late husband Charlie Kirk in 2018. (Charlie tragically lost his life at a speaking event in Utah in September 2025 at the age of 31.)

“There’s a casualness to how Erika lies about her history, claiming she didn’t date anyone for five years. That’s simply not true,” Owens stated. “It’s almost as if she experiences a glitch, struggling to recall details. There’s something about that which feels like she’s trying to retrieve memories she can’t fully access.”

During the same episode, Owens accused Erika of seeking relationships with high-profile individuals to gain fame.

“It’s clear, and anyone being honest about Erika’s dating history can confirm, that she has a strong desire for fame, no matter the means,” Owens asserted.

Us Weekly has reached out to Erika’s representatives for a response.

Previously, Erika faced backlash for stating that she “never dated” during the five years she spent in New York before meeting Charlie.

“I experienced how difficult dating could be through my roommate,” Erika commented during a CBS Town Hall in December 2025. “Going out for drinks seemed to replace having coffee or brunch. Personally, I would prefer coffee or brunch — I don’t drink because I find it unproductive, not out of some sense of superiority; it just isn’t my way.”

She added, “I found it strange how she would go for drinks with one guy and dinner with another.”

However, previously surfaced photos and videos revealed connections between Erika and multiple men.

A now-deleted Instagram post from September 2017 reportedly showed Erika in a painting class with Cabot Phillips, captioned, “Yes, we’re that couple who gets painting lessons together.”

Furthermore, Erika auditioned for The Amazing Race in 2014 with her then-boyfriend JT Massey. A clip of their audition resurfaced after her claims of not dating anyone for five years.

Before beginning her relationship with Charlie in the summer of 2018, Erika made a guest appearance on Season 3 of Bravo’s Summer House, where she was introduced as a potential love interest for cast member Jordan Verroi.

Erika, who had two children with Charlie, honored her husband two days after his passing, reflecting on his character.

“Charlie always said he wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith after he was gone,” Erika stated at a press conference in September 2025. “He cherished life, loved America, and found solace in nature, which drew him closer to God,”

She continued, “He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Oregon Ducks. Most importantly, Charlie adored his children and loved me unconditionally, and I felt that love every day.”
