Cardi B Transforms Her Umbilical Cord into a Gold Pendant Following Childbirth
Cardi B is focused on creating sentimental keepsakes.
On November 4, Cardi, 33, welcomed her fourth child, a son, with Stefon Diggs. To commemorate this moment, she transformed her umbilical cord into something unique. On November 20, Juliane Marie Corona from Mommy Made Encapsulation shared on Instagram how she crafted a heart-shaped pendant from Cardi’s umbilical cord.
After cleaning the placenta, she shaped the cord into a heart and dipped it in gold.
As stated on Mommy Made’s website, the placenta encapsulation service costs $500, with an additional $50 for the keepsake.
“Where her journey began… turned into a treasure she’ll hold dear forever. 🤍,” Corona expressed about crafting Cardi’s heart pendant. “The umbilical cord is the first physical connection between a mother and her baby — the lifeline that nourished, protected, and connected them throughout pregnancy.”
She continued, “Creating this keepsake is always an honor, but doing it for Cardi and her sweet baby again is incredibly meaningful to us. 🤍✨. Transforming something so significant into a cherished piece is one of the most special aspects of our work.”
Fans had mixed reactions in the comments.
“What’s happening here?” one commenter questioned. Another responded, “No way. I appreciate memories, but I’m not keeping my baby’s dried umbilical cord.”
While some were skeptical, others embraced the idea of a keepsake from the umbilical cord.

This isn’t Cardi’s first keepsake from her children’s births. In October 2024, she had her placenta turned into capsules after the arrival of her daughter Blossom, whom she welcomed a month earlier with ex Offset. (She also shares daughter Kulture, 7, and son Wave, 4, with the rapper, 33.)
Amidst Cardi’s pregnancy, it was revealed that Diggs is the father of a daughter named Charliee with model Aileen Lopera.
“We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father,” Lopera’s attorney Tamar Arminak stated to Us Weekly on November 6. “We hope he will positively contribute to the child’s life and co-parent with our client, who has managed everything alone so far.”
Diggs has previously responded to Lopera’s paternity lawsuit, requesting joint legal and physical custody if paternity is established.
Stefon Diggs subtly addressed the rumors surrounding Cardi B’s pregnancy during a recent NFL press conference. Cardi has previously shared her thoughts on the arrival of another child.
“Starting anew is never simple, but it’s so worth it! I’ve released new music, a new album, and welcomed a new baby into my life — all reasons to become the best version of myself. I need to love myself even more to give my children the love and life they deserve,” she shared on Instagram. “This next chapter is Me vs. Me!”
