Carrie and Aidan: A Timeline of Their Relationship in ‘Sex and the City’
Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw were not meant to be in Sex and the City — but it seems like there’s hope for this beloved couple.
Viewers first met the furniture designer (John Corbett) during season 3, when he began dating Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) after her breakup with Mr. Big (Chris Noth). However, their romance faced a setback when Carrie betrayed Aidan by getting involved with her ex.
Despite Carrie and Aidan’s attempt to rekindle their love six months later, their previous issues held them back from achieving a fairy tale ending. Carrie eventually married Big in the first Sex and the City film, but her spouse passed away in season 1 of the And Just Like That reboot.
Although Aidan didn’t make a quick return when the Max series premiered — despite Corbett’s playful hints — he eventually reappeared in season 2.
