Chappell Roan’s ‘Hot to Go’ Outfit Fetches Big at L.A. Wildfire Relief Auction
One of Chappell Roan‘s standout costumes was recently auctioned for charity, fetching a surprising amount.
After performing in a vintage bodysuit and white knee-high boots for her “Hot to Go” music video, released in August 2023, the costume was auctioned on Tuesday, February 25. Proceeds will support victims of the Los Angeles Wildfires.
The outfit was a striking royal blue sequined bodysuit embellished with gold and red stars, featuring a unique cutout on the chest. The highlight of the ensemble was the gold shoulder pads adorned with fringe. Initially estimated to sell for $1,000 to $2,000, it astonishingly went for $88,900 at the Julien’s Auctions Give a Frock Auction, marking it as the highest sale of the event. Styled by Genesis Webb, Roan’s boots came with chic short white heels that elegantly accentuated her legs.
In the music video, Roan complemented her marching band-inspired look with nude matte tights, vibrant purple eyeshadow, and layered lashes. Her makeup was completed with a matte red lip and rosy cheeks, while her crimson hair was styled in a glamorous updo with tight curls.
Additionally, another highlight from the auction included a blue Alaïa minidress that went for $34,925. This sleeveless bodycon dress was featured on Sabrina Carpenter in her “Please Please Please” music video, which also starred her former partner Barry Keoghan. The dress had a pre-auction estimate of $1,500 to $2,500.

In her music video, Carpenter, 25, wore the dress while visiting Keoghan, 32, in a correctional facility.
The auction’s official website states that all proceeds will be directly donated to organizations actively engaged in wildfire relief, including One Voice, Altadena Girls, Friends in Deed, and the Pasadena Humane Society.
