Chloe Veitch Reveals Earnings from Too Hot to Handle

Chloe Veitch emerged as a standout on the inaugural season of Too Hot to Handle, and she’s now detailing her earnings from various reality shows and her content creation efforts.

“I found myself in Too Hot to Handle after a modeling gig where I wasn’t paid. The casting director at that shoot mentioned, ‘You would be perfect for the show I’m working on,’” Veitch, 26, shared during the Monday, December 29 episode of Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast. “That’s when my career took off.”

Veitch participated in the first season of the Netflix dating show, which premiered in 2020. Since then, she has taken part in numerous other reality shows including The Circle, Perfect Match, and more. Aside from her reality TV endeavors, Veitch has also made a significant impact as an influencer. Recently, she has transitioned from reality star to host with her new role on Netflix’s Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark.

Chloe Veitch Asserts She Received No Pay for ‘Too Hot to Handle’

Chloe Veitch stated that she and her fellow season 1 cast members “were not compensated for participating in” Too Hot to Handle. She added that since it was a new show, none of them had any idea it would be airing on Netflix.

Chloe Veitch Believes She Wasn’t Paid for ‘The Circle’

After her breakout role on Too Hot to Handle, Chloe Veitch went on to compete in The Circle.

“I can’t recall if I received payment for The Circle,” she revealed. “Honestly, I do this not for the money. I’ve always had the mindset, ‘If you are a good person and lead with genuine intention, things will work out.’”

Veitch explained that during that period, her income primarily came from brand deals. Although she finished second in the competition, she did not win a cash prize, but appreciated having more “air time.”

How Much Chloe Veitch Earned from Her First Brand Deal

Chloe Veitch disclosed that her first brand deal was with a product she already adored and paid her a considerable sum to promote it.

“It was Iconic London, specifically a body shimmer mist that I already used, and they compensated me around 18,000 pounds for a single story post,” she recalled. “A story lasts only 24 hours. That was incredible. I thought, ‘I made it. I’m going to buy my mom a house; this is amazing.’”

Veitch creatively crafted a catchy slogan for her short clip.

“I simply sprayed it on my face, stood in the sun, and exclaimed, ‘Wow, my skin looks so glowy. Glowy, Chloe!’ That was it,” she said.

Comparison of Chloe Veitch’s Other Brand Deals to Her First

Since her initial brand deal, Chloe Veitch has faced ups and downs in the influencer marketing space.

“I’ve started to realize that depending on your visibility and relevance—like if you appear on a new show—your numbers will rise,” she explained. “Consequently, your income from brand deals will also increase.”

When Veitch “initially began earning” from brand deals at 20, she secured two contracts worth “20,000 a month” each, resulting in a total of “40,000 a month.” Both deals were for a duration of a year.

She experienced her “highest earning months” after her time on Too Hot to Handle. However, in recent years, she’s noticed a decline in her earnings post-reality TV.

“Right before I started hosting Sneaky Links on Netflix, I was in my lowest earning months, and despite being established from previous shows, my engagement was low,” she reflected. “So even if a brand is interested in paying me, the question remains: how many eyes will actually see this product?”

Veitch confessed that she felt like a failure upon seeing the drop in her numbers.

“I thought I had failed,” she admitted. “I was worried I’d end up broke and wouldn’t be able to buy a house. What had I done? I began to resent myself for wanting that Chanel bag or that Range Rover instead of securing my future with a home.”

She added that she’s learned “valuable lessons” and now holds a deeper appreciation for her “financial resources.”

Which Show Chloe Veitch Would Refuse to Do Again

Chloe Veitch expressed that she would decline an invitation to participate in Perfect Match again.

“You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to do it again. It feels like the Hunger Games of reality TV,” she quipped. “It’s not pleasant. I enjoy watching it as a viewer, but I’d never go through that again.”

The model noted her disinterest in any future dating shows.

Chloe Veitch Discusses Her Salary for Hosting ‘Sneaky Links’

Chloe Veitch mentioned that the chance to host Sneaky Links was presented to her. Although there was no audition required, she did explain the show’s concept to Netflix executives. (Sneaky Links refers to a secret hookup or relationship.)

After pitching to the board, Veitch indicated that she was indifferent about her payment because of her enthusiasm for the project. However, her team encouraged her to consider her “worth.”

“Initially, they offered something quite low [at first], and I thought, ‘This isn’t going to be my major pay from Netflix,’” she said before revealing that her final offer was increased to the six-figure range.
