Chris Evans and Dodger: Celebrate Their Remarkable Bond!
Nothing compares to the bond between a human and their dog, and Chris Evans and his pooch, Dodger, perfectly illustrate this connection.
The Avengers actor first encountered his lovable mixed-breed boxer while filming his 2017 movie Gifted. In April 2018, he shared a video on Twitter capturing their first meeting, where Evans—off-camera—approached the pen where the rescue pup was kept.
In the video, the actor greets Dodger with a cheerful, “Hi dude,” bending down to extend his hand for a friendly introduction. Dodger reciprocates the affection by licking and nudging Evans’s hand affectionately.
Since bringing Dodger home, Evans has delighted fans with numerous heartwarming posts on his social media accounts.
“I mean that’s probably one of the purest relationships I have,” Evans shared during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October 2020, mentioning he even got a tribute tattoo in honor of Dodger. “[Getting the ink] didn’t take much convincing. I’ll never regret that tattoo. I’ve regretted a few in my life, but not that one.”
